As harsh as I sound, cars driving at high speed towards checkpoints is the mdous operandi of suicide bombers from groups like boko haram

Yes, the soldiers could have done better and yes they should investigate, but driving at high speed towards a.checkpoint is a nice way of saying to all and sundry that you want to join your ancestors

If this is the true situation, the soldiers are not at fault. When you refuse and beat a stop and search check point, you automatically make yourself a suspect and dangerous

My thoughts exactly

To the best of my view on this event.

1) They didn't stop for searching at an army checkpoint.
2) Those at that checkpoint called the one ahead.
3) From the observations above, the car is supposed to face the the officers at the second checkpoint.
4) He was shot at from behind rather than the front.

I don't get this story. I'm in the dark.

If the first officers didn't follow the vehicle, there shouldn't be the bullet spot at the back of the victim's head but rather the front OR did the bullet change direction like 180degree change OR what?

Well, sad but he should have stop to be search, he should have known better as a security personnel. The right thing would was to chase them since they aren't with weapons and shooting too or maybe they were with weapons and they engage first who knows. I believe there are rules of engagement in these sort of situation.

Your argument is based on sentiments not logic.
Presume there are two men in a car, carrying bombs, you want the soldiers to chase them.
It is Policemen that are trained to arrest, soldiers are trained to kill.

Just so you know, suicide bombers don't stop at checkpoints.

Too bad,but I see no reason why they didn't stop for soldiers to search them if they were clean. But nonetheless the soldiers are always stupid when it comes to killing the innocent and armless but thesame soldiers do nothing to Buhari's fulani Terrorists group that attack people on the roads sometimes not even far from their check points. May the soul of the departed find peace, I know there won't be justice. We remember in 2019 when soldiers killed police who were on official duty to arrest a kidnapper before soldiers killed the police officers and set free the notorious kidnapper,up till today Defence headquarters didn't come up with any findings or prosecute the kidnapper/Terrorist soldiers. Some times I hate these security guys so much, I even want to break up with my serious gf, I don't know why she joined them in the first place

Why wouldn't he stop for search or inspection ?, Does he have anything incriminating in the vehicle. He didn't stop at the first check point and again at the second.

Now what was the driver trying to do, escape stop and search ?, Look the army already tame them suspicious and they are rigid too. The point is no keg of investigation can revert the incident and know that the army have the right to shoot at any suspicious or threats within the Nigerian roads.

There is no reasonable explanation to justify this killing. Shoot their tyres to stop them if u must shoot but no, they aimed directly at the screen. These soldiers don't know anything about rules of engagement
