These Are Some Of The Things That Senator Owelle Rochas Okorocha Has Done For Imo State.

He is the first Governor, the first Leader to introduce free & qualitative education in his state from Primary to Secondary to University and other tertiary institutions with free uniform and free reading materials for eight (cool years.

During his tenure, the transparency international adjudged Imo State as the least corrupt state in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
He brought Imo State from the thirty-fourth (34th) position of the least developed state to one of the ten (10) most beautiful states in Nigeria.
Owerri, the state capital became the fastest growing city in Nigeria outside Lagos and Abuja during his tenure in office.
He brought Government closer to the people by the introduction of the fourth (4th) tier Government system called the Community Government Council which helped to reduce crime to its barest minimum in the State.

He has the following projects to his credit:
The first Nnamdi Azikiwe Flyover
The first Akanu Ibiam Flyover
One of the best Government Houses in Nigeria
The first Aguiyi Ironsi tunnel
The first Ikemba Ojukwu tunnel
The first ISOPADEC Headquarters in the State
The first International Conference Centre in the State
The first Heroes Square in the State
The best International Cargo Airport & shade in Nigeria
The best Police Command in Nigeria
The best High Court Complex in Nigeria
One of the best Prison Command complexes in Nigeria
One of the best Traditional Palace in the country
He was the first to pay N20,000 Minimum wage when others paid N18,000

He also built:
A twenty-seven (27) 200-bed Hospital in the 27 Local Government Areas in Imo State.
1,000-bed Somto Hospital
1,000-bed Mother and Child Hospital
The first Oshadike Medical & Diagnostic, Renal Centres in the State
Over 1,200 km of Rural roads
He created more internal city roads than ever built in the history of the state
Changed the entire landscape of the state through the urban renewal
program that brought about the boost in real estate business in the state.
The one-time dark-at-night city of Owerri now became the light city with stainless solar street lights across the length and breadth of the Capital.
He introduced the first Imo State carnival to promote Tourism in the state.
He introduced the first Ministry of Happiness for the poor and needy which brought about the empowerment of over fifty thousand (50,000) women with N100,000 each.
Making of 305 Millionaires with N1,000,000 given to each youth as entrepreneurship funds in each of the 305 INEC wards of the state
Creation of 25, 000 jobs under the Youth-Must-Work Program.
He built 546 Twelve-number classrooms upstairs Block for primary schools in the state Built some secondary schools and remodelled many.
Built the first Okigwe stadium and first Orlu stadium Making of the new cities of Orlu, Okigwe, Nwaorieubi, Umuaka. These city's major roads were dualized and saw street lights for the first time in history.

Chapel in 27 Local Government Headquarters,

Six new Universities, four new Polytechnics, two new colleges of Education, all licensed by NUC and other regulatory bodies.
Imo MicroFinance Bank,
The Aged (70 years and above) centre
The hall of fame.
Freedom Square
The introduction of Taxi & Bus Imo
Treasury House.
Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Headquarters.
Imo College of Advanced Professional Studies.
Abuja Liaison Office,
Dee Sam Mbakwe Exco Chambers.

He built several markets:
Obowo Malaysia Market
Relief Market
Orlu Building material market
Orlu Electronic market
Orlu shopping complex
Onitsha park market, Orlu
Egbeada people's market, etc.

He also built:
The first Imo Foundation Complex, which offered free medical services to the poor and needy.
Trade & Investment centre
Imo Trade Fair Complex to promote home-made products and business.
College of Health Technology.
