pls reasonable comments are needed here, as someone want to draw a conclusion before making a decision.
Who is a true father? Is it someone that impregnated ur mum & left or someone that impregnated ur mum & stayed but his presence is as good as useless? Or someone that does not have any biological relationship but took responsibilities, gave u protection,provided for ur basic needs?which of them will u call ur father?

A real father is someone who is commited,loves ,sacrifices and generally takes care of his child. . .

what do you mean by "true father"?! even if a person is useless or disappeared after child birth, he will still and ALWAYS be a the father to this child.
now if you are talking about a RESPONSIBLE father then yes, some aint due to circumstances but it doesnt make them any less a father than the "father" that cared for you all these yrs.

example:
- would you consider a man, who didnt know he had a child, less a father than the guy who raise his child?
- would you consider a man, who went to jail just before his child was born, less a father than the guy who raised his son?

it doesnt really matter if someone didnt take care of their kids when they were younger, as the reason why are endless (stoopidity and immaturity included,) but it sure doesnt mean that they are less of a father than anyone.

@MRbrownJAY, do u realise that d man who did not take responsibility may have satisfied his sensational sexual desire? Not because he really want to be a father.

what i am trying to tell you is that "not being there for the child, for whatever reasons" shouldnt automatically mean that this person isnt their father any longer. it simply means that their father was IRRESPONSIBLE.

if i follow what you are saying then anyone who was raised without a father, automatically DOESNT HAVE A FATHER. thats so not true!!!! the simply dont have a father PRESENT.
