Another Bomb Blast Rocks JTF Checkpoint In Maiduguri

Less than 24 hours after militant Islamists bombed a beer joint killing 43 people, Nigeria's northeastern city of Maiduguri in Borno State has again been rocked by another bomb blast, SaharaReporters has learned.

Today's blast targeted the Customs area of Maiduguri where members of the Joint Task force maintains a secretariat. SaharaReporters learned that Islamists targeted a JTF check point near Custom House on Dikwa Road in the Maiduguri metropolis.

As of the time of filing this report, no casualty figures had been released by the police or the JTF but eyewitnesses said several people have died while 9 people injured were taken to the university of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital

Honestly USA has a hand in this, many may doubt but they have so much to gain if Nigeria is in Chaos. Go find out about Iraq war and you will see how USA benefited from the problem there, you can as well ask the BUSH family how he profited from Saddam's mayhem.

the solution to this problem of bomb attack may be simpler if enough enlightenment is made to the general public and if the govt. Can publicly beg the masses for vital information about the mode of operation and whereabout of these people with a promise to remunerate such bold and patriotic citizens since they (bokoharam) live among the people. Trust me it would work, in fact some other countries have done it before and it worked. May god have mercy!

GEJ is a good man with a good heart but his handlers, many of whom are former MEND finaciers and oil bunkerers, are going to do him in if care is not taken. They puched the poor gur to contest for the presidential election and to break the PDP gentleman's agreement of power rotation. These foolish handlers failed to see that this agreement was very instrumental at keeping the country peaceful. To make matters worse, they decided to rig the election when they did not have to do that. In their foolishness they did not expect any negative impact.

Only a dullard would not have been able to predict the kind of violent reaction we are seeing in this country.  I predict there will be more violence both from groups like MEND, Boko Haram and the government itself. GEJ's handlers better wake up and smell the coffee or this administration will be the worst in Nigeria's history.

When another bomb explodes in Abuja, one in Lagos, and another one in PH in a coordinated manner, this administration may finally understand the gravity of the current situation.

All these yoruba kids insulting GEJ because he's not from their tribe will be the ones to quickly point tell others that they should respect elders when one of theirs is insulted or criticized.

Militancy in the Niger delta started during obj's time and was not curbed successfully by OBJ. Odi was never a militancy issue but problem between youths and the police for injustice against them and the military was sent to go and apprehend the boys.

throughout OBJ's tenure, militants reigned supreme and Nigeria's oil output reduced drastically. JTF was never successful in the fight against the niger delta militants. Yar Adua initiated and started the amnesty program to stop the niger delta militants and increase oil output.

The main reason why there was no much outcry against MEND as it is presently happening with BH was because MEND wasn't killing innocent citizens indiscriminately as BH.

Why blaming neighboring countries for your dilemma? Boko haram is purely made in Nigeria, Mohammed Yusuf (the founder of the sect) is a typical Nigerian, Abubakar Shekau (Successor of Mohammed Yusuf) is a Nigerian. It is being said by and large that top official members of the government in Nigeria are perpetrators of Boko Haram, I quote GEJ " it is clear that some members of my government have hands in the issue of the sect Boko Haram" since the inception of the insurgencies by this sect in Nigeria, there have never been a report that foreigners were involved, instead, names of top Nigerians and only Nigerians were mentioned in this issue. Shekau is been hunted for in Sambisa forest and he is still in Nigeria.
what benefit will a foreigner have in killing Nigerian politicians, innocent people and insisting on Islamizing some states in northern Nigeria?
Nigeria closing its borders with Comeroon, Chad and Niger can only do good for these countries for Boko Haram not to spill in to these countries.
If Nigeria is not capable of handling her own problem, that is her cup of tea but do not find a way of giving a dog a bad name to hang it.
It is only in Nigeria that you find task forces collecting money from transit vehicles like tax collectors leaving terrorist pass them by with bombs and ammunitions because of N100 even GEJ knows this.
Better a good analysis before making opinion.
