Please can someone in the house interpret this to me?
you can now practice some businesses while you are a civil servant. Before you are not allowed to have another business except farming when you are a civil servant.

Any Local Government Chairman wey gree nah mumu and won't last long on the seat.

If the bill is pass into law, a LG chairman can't be removed by the Governor, and won't even have access to the LG funds.

Will this bill allow INEC to conduct elections for LG chairman and councilors instead of the usual practice of state electoral umpire conducting elections in the local government areas

The Constitution doesn't permit it.

LG Chairmen & Councillors will have their elections conducted by SIECs.

...
I just discovered that some of the amendments which the H.O.R passed were not passed by the Senate.
And some that were passed by the Senate were not passed by the H.O.R.
..
Thus, the two houses are not on the same agreement with the amendments.
..
(You can provide a summary topic where the results of the two houses on the amendments were presented side-by-side)
..
My question now is..
What's the next thing to happen about the Provisions where the two houses are having different conclusions??

Both chambers will set up a conference committee to harmonise the differences in the proposed amendments. The only bills in perspective will be bills that both houses did not concur to.

If both chambers are not able to harmonise the differences, the bills will be returned to the respective houses of the national assembly for fresh voting.

After harmonisation, the bills are then transmitted to the state houses of assembly by the clerk of the national assembly for their concurrence.
