Any sane person with a sense of law and order, knows Umahi and his Deputy don't have a case

As simple as ABC, except that with Bubu's lawless body language, these things are no longer as straightforward as they ought to be.
Quite sad for the supposed man of integrity voted to fight corruption. Very sad indeed!

Umahi's problem is within APC someone wants to scheme him out.
I said this for long time. The ignorant of a governor is still insulting pdp instead of him to be looking inward where is problem lies.

Defection: Why Umahi, Deputy May Lose At Appeal Court — Sagay President Kufuor’s political godson Peter Umahi may well be defeated in his appeal in the Supreme Court of Ghana against a High Court order that he and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Kwadjo Tsikata of the NPP should not occupy the same seat of residence If the decision is made in the Supreme Court, then it will be incumbent on Speaker of Parliament Dr John Nartey to determine which of them will occupy a seat in Parliament Mr Umahi has since been ordered by the court to vacate his apartment in Adabraka, Accra, and move to the residence of the Speaker This means that the two of them, once again, will no longer occupy the same house Mr

Sagay will never be rated alongside Malami. Sagay is a human being, Malami is an animal, any thing or object comparing them is definitely an animal itself. Either Ewu Congo or Ewu Gambia.

It is so unfortunate that the brightest of in the SE is about to go down due to his foolish hope of winning the APC's Presidential ticket. Who dash monkey banana? grin

No doubt, I love this guy for is various laudable achievements in Ebonyi State, he could have chosen to be an Ikpeazu. But APC will never give its ticket to anyone who hasn't paid his dues in the party. He needs to curse whoever promised him he could stroll into APC and win the ticket. grin

That aside, Igbos still won't vote him even if he gets the ticket, they would rather vote another Fulani man in PDP.

So I am so sorry that such a fine public servant is about to be ousted. I am sure well meaning Ebonyi people will miss him. But I really do hope he survives. Wish I have him as my State governor, unlike that Dapo Abiodun. grin

It’s an open secret that Umahi the mandate thief is gone for good.
Yes, Umahi is gone for good as the supreme Court judgment is superior but Umahi can appeal and the appeal will run until his tenure ends. In reality, he may never leave office.

Umahi may have a case based on a plethora of cases already decided. However, I agree with you on that first statement that whoever crosscarpets invalidates a certificate of return. This should be the law and I think morality backs it.

Amaechi vs omehia case is not a case of defection. There's no where in the constitution where defection is a yardstick for removing a member of the executive. Let's see what happens at the appeal court and supreme court.

This judgement should stand. Ownership of votes cast belongs to a political party. This case may stop politicians from jumping from one party to another.
