Examples of Verses Including Scientific Facts Just Explained or Discovered Recently
Some of the Quran verses explain facts about Earth, humans, and other creatures.
1. For example, there is an invitation for humans to fly, indicating the possibility of flying, more than 1428 years ago.**
In Surat Al-Rahman (Chapter 55), Verse 33 states, we read:***
O You jinn and men, if you can penetrate zones of the heavens and the Earth, then penetrate! You will never penetrate them except with (the) power (of science).
In Chapter 3, Verse 83, Allah (Praise to Him) also tells us about life in outer space saying:
Do they want other than the Religion of Allah? While (all) who are in the heavens and the Earth have willingly, or unwillingly, submitted to Him (as Muslims do), and to Him shall they be returned.
In Chapter 24, Verse 41, Allah (Praise to Him) also says:
Do not you see that Allah is praised by whoever in the heavens and the Earth, and (that) the birds are flying in lines? Each (category of creatures) knows its own prayer and praise. And Allah knows that they do.
3. Earth is described as egg-shaped (not a perfect circular globe), a fact which was discovered recently in the human history.
In Chapter 79, Verse 30, the Holy Quran mentions that:
And the Earth, after that, He made it egg-shaped.
وَالْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَاهَا
The noun "da'hya" is used by North African Arabs in reference to an "egg." The author heard it by himself in the early 1970s in Libya. Other translators missed the meaning of the verb (da'haha, دَحَٮٰهَآ) translating it into "extended."
4. In Verses 68-69, we are told that it is the female bee that makes honey, a very recent bit of knowledge for humans. We know now that male bees die after mating with the queen and live only for about 90 days. Only female bees survive to be the workers, which gather nectar and make honey. This bit of knowledge could never be known to humans before the invention and use of microscopes. It is another piece of evidence that the author of the Holy Quran could never be a human being about 1428 years ago. Rather, He is the All Knowledgeable One.
And your Lord inspired the female bees to take (build) its houses (hives) on mountains, trees, and in (people's) gardens
Then (you female bee) eat from all the fruits and (you female bee) follow the ways of your Lord laid down (for you). There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing (cure) for people. In that, (there) is a sign for a people who give thought (Al-Na'hl, 16: 68-69).
In dealing with Verse 68, some translators did not pay attention to the feminine form of the Arabic verb (اتَّخِذِي), which refers to female bees in particular, not bees in general. The same meaning is confirmed in Verse 69, in verbs (كُلِي), which means "you female bee eat," and verb (فَاسْلُكِي), which means "you female bee follow."
5. In 27: 18, there is a reference to a female ant speaking to other ants, which is also a recent bit of knowledge. We know now that male ants die after mating with the queen and only female ants survive to be the workers, just like the case with bees mentioned above. This bit of knowledge could never be known to humans before the invention and use of microscopes and the advanced studies in biology.
" ... a female ant said: "O you ants enter your dwellings" (Al-Nahl, 27: 18).
Several translators, also in this verse, did not pay attention to the feminine form of the Arabic noun (نَمْلَةٌ), which refers to "a singular female ant."
6. The Holy Qur'an also provides us with an accurate description of deep waters in the ocean, where darkness prevails. Nobody could dive deep enough in the ocean 1428 years ago and come back to tell about what he saw there. Only the One who has created Earth and its oceans could know. For us, Philippe Causteau and his crew showed us some videos about only some parts of the ocean depth, in the 1980s.
In Chapter 24, Verse 40 of the Holy Quran, Allah (Praise to Him) says:
Or (the Unbelievers' state) is like layers of darkness in a vast deep ocean overwhelmed with waves topped by waves, topped by clouds: Layers of darkness, one above another, if a man stretches out his hand, he can hardly see it! For anyone to whom Allah does not make light, he has no light (Al-Noor, 24: 40).
7. In Chapter 24, Verse 43 of the Holy Quran, Allah (Praise to Him) vividly describes the water cycle, from winds to clouds, then to rain. He says:
Do not you see that Allah makes the clouds move gently, then joins them together, then makes them into a heap? Then, you will see rain coming out of it. And He sends down hail from the sky mountains (of clouds). He strikes with it whom He wills and He turns it away from whom He wills. The vivid flash of its lightning is close to blinding the sights (of people). (Al-Noor, 24: 43).
In Chapter 30, Verse 48, Allah (Praise to Him) also says:
It is Allah Who sends the Winds, and they raise the Clouds. Then, He spreads them in the sky as He wills, and break them into fragments, until you see rain-drops coming out from the midst of it. When He makes them reach whoever He wills of his servants, then they rejoice! (Al-Room, 30: 48).
8. The Holy Qur'an tells us in several verses that Allah (Praise to Him) has created plants in pairs (male and female) in order for plant reproductive activities to happen leading to giving us the fruits we enjoy on this Planet.
This pairing can be found in two separate plants producing the same fruit (such as date-palm trees), or in two different flowers in the same plant (such as cucumbers), or in the same flower containing male and female organs (pistils and stamens).
In Chapter 20, Verse 53, Allah (Praise to Him) also says:
"... and (God) has sent down water from the sky. With it, We have produced diverse pairs of plants (Taha, 20: 53).
9. The Holy Quran mentioned that water preceded the creation of heavens and the Earth. Most recent scientific research has explained this fact, as stated in an article posted at:

This scientific fact was mentioned in Verse 11: 7 and Verse 21: 30, as follows:
And it is He who created the heavens and the Earth in six days - and His Throne had been upon water (Hood, 11: 7 of the Holy Quran).
Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the Earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe? (Al-Anbiya, 21: 30 of the Holy Quran).
In Verse 11: 7, Allah praise to Him stated that His Throne was on water before He created the heavens and the Earth. So, water preceded the formation of our solar system, as scientists concluded in their most recent research.
In Verse 21: 30, Allah praise to Him stated that He caused the split of the matter to form the heavens and the Earth and that He created every living thing (in them) out of water, which was already there.

Refuting the points raised in the video:
1.) Ancient manuscript and archaeology proves that the present Quran that all muslims have,regardless of their differences,be they shia like myself or sunnis like the majority of muslims,is the same Quran as that which was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (sa).not a least stroke nor an additional letter has being subtracted from or added into it.
2.) The Quran after the death of the Prophet (sa) was in written form.it was first compiled by Imam Ali (as) with commentary and details of the revelation of each surah.then abu bakr also compiled another copy.Imam Ali (as) was the most knowledgeable when it comes to the Quran as sunni (not even shia) hadith points out.abu bakr being the person in the position of caliph produced a copy from the copies of the Prophet (sa).the copy of abu bakr was used and Imam Ali (as) had no objection to it.it was both the same and fine.
3.) After the muslims had conquered distant lands outside of Arabia,Quranic verses with variations were spotted.that alarmed the caliph,Usthman.therefore Usthman compiled four copies of the Quran from the orginal and those copies were spread across the corners of the Islamic world.the verses that had variations were collected and destroyed.this was done to ensure that the same fate that befell the bible and continues to from constant tampering and fingering and editing does not happen to the Holy Quran.
4.) The verse in the Quran about jews,Christians and sabians who shall be rewarded speaks of those before Muhammad (sa) since the query was:what would be the fate of those Christian and jews who lived before the Prophet (sa) came and did not have the choice to reject or accept his message?the answer was those who believed in God,the last day and did good,they shall be rewarded by Allah (swt).that demonstrates the universal appeal of islam and its universal sense of justice for all under One God.that by no way says that islam was influenced by jews and Christians.however our common beliefs and commonalities,we muslims do not deny them.
5.) Of all the manuscripts of the bible available it is a fact that no two are identical.besides,the new testament most ancient manuscripts are all in greek when no one of the contemporaries of Jesus spoke greek.christians would tell us the most orginal ones in Hebrew have being lost!!!ridiculous to say the least!!!!and whoever composed the video has the effrontery to claim that there are bible manuscripts while there are no Quran manuscripts from earlier periods.he either is ignorant that there is no early bible manuscripts and that there are Quran manscripts or he is deceptive.

In Arabic,variation in script or strokes does not mean variation in reading.to say that the kufic script was not in use in makkah proves nothing.the kufic script was used in kufa.and kufa was conquered less than 20 years after the death of the Prophet (sa).Kufa was even the capital of the Islamic world under the caliphate of Imam Ali (as),whom the sunnis consider as fourth caliph.
7.) The person who made the video contradicted himself.he earlier claimed that there are no Quranic manuscripts but later presented evidence of those manuscripts from the days of Usthman barely 25 years after the death of the Prophet (sa).to the fool who made the video,25 years is not “ancient enough”.but when examining the bible,we find that the 27 books of the new testament did not form one book until 3 centuries after Jesus i.e. 300 years after!!!!and their authors are mostly unknown.
8.) The Quran today is the perfect copy of what was revealed to our Prophet (sa).the Quran was revealed in only one harf.whatever ahruf (letters) exist,exist only in text but not in recitation.
9.) When talking about Arabic text,the fool did not indicate that Arabic text was not perfected until very late.whatever text that existed in ancient time,that text can be written differently today but is recited the same way.the introduction of strokes and other signs in the Arabic text came late to make writing easier.but the reading is the same.there are also verses which are written in one way but pronounced in another way to fit the dialect that was prevalent in Quraysh.hence,additional strokes to indicate and make it easier for more readers to know how to pronounce the word correctly.again,that implies no change at all.
10.) The hafs is what is the dialect of the Quraysh and it was with their dialect the Quran was revealed.if you read the text as it is written,you still get the meaning and means the same;but the pronunciation of the word slightly differs.that is why all Quran are written in hafs in order for the reader to be able to recite it th Quraysh way.
11.) The claim that Muhammad (sa) could have received the Quran from a Syrian hermit is laughable.a man who prophesied future events,and exposed secrets of past events and made a lot of scientifical proven statements in the Quran could not have received it from anyone.the claim here is that the Prophet (sa) “received it”.others claim he was “taught”.others say he was “helped”.please make up your mind and tell us which guess you want to stick to.
12.) The second claim is that the monk “took him and taught him”.all that happened and his own contemporaries did not know of it.the Quran tells us that Muhammad (sa) was illiterate and could not write and was not taught.if he was,and he made that claim,everyone including his own relatives would have opposed him.
13.) It is funny how the Quran could have being copied from the bible but the Quran is free from errors and historical inaccuracies but the bible has those in abundance.
14.) There is no gospel in the time of Muhammad (sa) that was written in Arabic.the bible was translated in Arabic very late after Muhammad (sa).Waraqa knew Hebrew.Muhammad (sa) could not read or write.even if we assume for argument sake that Muhammad (sa) knew how to read and write,it is illogical to believe that he could have done that to copy contemporary and distant prophecies and knowledge and for more than 2 decades he was not caught doing that.this is a man with 9 wives and children and thousands or relatives and companions.
15.) How could Muhammad (sa) know that man was made out from a clot of congealed blood in the womb?even in English the verses of the Quran souns beautiful.you need to hear the Arabic recitation.
16.) The verse said Allah taught man the use of the pen.the person who made the video said Allah taught Muhammad (sa).and the same Quran says in a very clear and explicit verse that Muhammad (sa) was illiterate and could neither read or write and no one doubted him.

Even if we are only base our topic on compilation and text, the bible and Christians would be stripped unclothed. The bible contains so many books by different men written at different times with each giving a different story and different doctrines. There is no conformity in the bible. You do not even know the authors of the books. and those you claim wrote the bible books and the books are named after them, to the least I can point out to you that they did not write everything attributed to them in those books.
Aside from that, the catholic bible contains 73 books while the protestant bible has 66 books. You have two types of the bible one with 73 books and another with 66 books and many versions with different games and playing with words to suit their own denominational beliefs. But all Muslims have a Quran of 114 chapters and word for word up to this day. Even Muslims from different sects have the same Quran. You cannot say the same for the bible. I,a Shia, can read and honor a Quran used by a Sunni and I can read it and glorify it and kiss it when I’m done reading. But the protestant does not accept the catholic bible of 73 books. And all other Christians do not accept the New World Translation, the bible version used by Jehovah’s witnesses and Jehovah’s witnesses too accept no other than their new world translation.and you want me to believe its all one and the same bible. well, the fact is all bibles are not the same.the differences within are too many. Please read the Quran carefully, then read the Saahi Bukhari Hadith . Quran is the instruction from Allah. And Bukhari Sharif has all the instruction provided by Prophet Muhammad (PHUB).
Before reading any ayah, read the previous one, do the same thing for the next ayah. Don't only read the only ayah. Because, certain ayah was said for certain incidents.

When talking about Arabic text,the fool did not indicate that Arabic text was not perfected until very late.whatever text that existed in ancient time,that text can be written differently today but is recited the same way.the introduction of strokes and other signs in the Arabic text came late to make writing easier.but the reading is the same.there are also verses which are written in one way but pronounced in another way to fit the dialect that was prevalent in Quraysh.hence,additional strokes to indicate and make it easier for more readers to know how to pronounce the word correctly.again,that implies no change at all.
10.) The hafs is what is the dialect of the Quraysh and it was with their dialect the Quran was revealed.if you read the text as it is written,you still get the meaning and means the same;but the pronunciation of the word slightly differs.that is why all Quran are written in hafs in order for the reader to be able to recite it th Quraysh way.
11.) The claim that Muhammad (sa) could have received the Quran from a Syrian hermit is laughable.a man who prophesied future events,and exposed secrets of past events and made a lot of scientifical proven statements in the Quran could not have received it from anyone.the claim here is that the Prophet (sa) “received it”.others claim he was “taught”.others say he was “helped”.please make up your mind and tell us which guess you want to stick to.
12.) The second claim is that the monk “took him and taught him”.all that happened and his own contemporaries did not know of it.the Quran tells us that Muhammad (sa) was illiterate and could not write and was not taught.if he was,and he made that claim,everyone including his own relatives would have opposed him.
13.) It is funny how the Quran could have being copied from the bible but the Quran is free from errors and historical inaccuracies but the bible has those in abundance.
14.) There is no gospel in the time of Muhammad (sa) that was written in Arabic.the bible was translated in Arabic very late after Muhammad (sa).Waraqa knew Hebrew.Muhammad (sa) could not read or write.even if we assume for argument sake that Muhammad (sa) knew how to read and write,it is illogical to believe that he could have done that to copy contemporary and distant prophecies and knowledge and for more than 2 decades he was not caught doing that.this is a man with 9 wives and children and thousands or relatives and companions.
15.) How could Muhammad (sa) know that man was made out from a clot of congealed blood in the womb?even in English the verses of the Quran souns beautiful.you need to hear the Arabic recitation.
16.) The verse said Allah taught man the use of the pen.the person who made the video said Allah taught Muhammad (sa).and the same Quran says in a very clear and explicit verse that Muhammad (sa) was illiterate and could neither read or write and no one doubted him.
17.) We believe in what was revealed to Jesus,but unfortunately Christians do not have that.what remains of that is negligible.
