PRINCE ERONDU UCHE TO PDP - YOU ACCUSE BUHARI OF NEPOTISM YET YOU PLAN TO DENY IGBO 2023 PRESIDENTIAL TICKET, DO IT AND LOOSE SOUTHEAST AND SOUTH SOUTH. ASWITU FELICITATES WITH CHRISTIANS ON EASTER, HAILS PANPIEC

The Association of Southwest Igbo Town Unions (ASWITU) the umbrella body of all Igbo town unions, village meetings, market associations, women and youth groups in the Southwest has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may likely go into extinction before 2023 general elections.

The President General of the group, Prince Erondu Uche said this on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 while featuring in a national television programme 'Politics Today'. The ASWITU President General noted that the Peoples Democratic Party is being torn apart by injustice which has crept into the party. He said that the party will loose all PDP States in the southeast and south south if it fails to zone its Presidential ticket to Igbo land. "Few people in PDP are making plans for the party to go into extinction by throwing their Presidential ticket open, instead of zoning it to Igbo land. Southeast and South south are the strongholds of PDP and I tell you, they will loose these states from the moment PDP produces a candidate from any other zone outside Igbo land. What this means is that the party will not exist anymore".

"The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is known for constantly accusing the President Mohammed Buhari led APC government for nepotism and misrule. Yet they want to throw open their Presidential ticket in order to deprive Igbo the opportunity of producing the next President. I am not defending APC nor President Mohammed Buhari because no government has marginalised Igbos more than the present government. If PDP fails to produce an Igbo candidate after its primaries, it means that if they win, Igbos will face more marginalization in PDP's government. Igbos are watching with keen interest the game being played by PDP to remove Igbo from the presidential race".

On easter celebration, Prince ERONDU Uche felicitated with Christians and called for prayer from religious leaders and Christians in general for the healing of the country. He advised Christians to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration to get their PVCs and also to come out in mass to vote for credible leaders. He urged religious leaders to lead by good examples. He also condemned the statement made by Pastor Tunde Bakare, who claimed in a viral video that Igbos were cursed, describing Bakare as a disgrace to the church of God.

Prince Erondu Uche appreciated the Pan Nigeria Presidency of Igbo Extraction Coalition (PANPIEC) the parent body of all the groups championing for Igbo to become the next President in 2023. He noted that PANPIEC created the awareness, campaigned round the country and engaged Igbo stakeholders individually before few groups started keying into the quest which has now become a topic on the lips of every Nigerian. He said that PANPIEC was not funded by politicians as being speculated in many quarters but by few members who saw the need to fight for Igbo interest. He said that history will not forget Alhaji Aminu Mohammad, Chuks Ibegbu, Prince Erondu Uche, Chief Frank Obineme and others for their roles in creating this awareness and pursuing it with their time and resources.
