Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, according to his Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, will on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, declare his interest to contest the 2023 presidential race.

Oyebode said his principal had discussed his plan to run for the number one office with President Muhammadu Buhari, traditional rulers, and political leaders across states in the Federation.

In a statement in which Oyebode made this disclosure, he noted that Fayemi who’s also the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), would lay to rest speculations on whether he would run for the Presidency or not.

Fayemi pursues his ambitions more discreetly than others. He must have working on his campaign behind the scenes but his supporters had expected much more of a splash by now. He is as crafty as a fox. You never know what he is up to until he strikes.
