Honorables in the house , I have tried to nail 9E following all the tutorials that you GURUS have provided in this forum, but to no success. I use Satcom 6161 HD auto roll with a 1.8m dish. My humble request is to find out if there is anybody who has ever nailed this bird in central Africa, precisely MALAWI. Please help your brother! Thanks in advance!

Yes you can. And your dish is actually facing south-east. At this 4.9° E, tap your dish down a bit, in such a way that its elevation coincide with the next calibration after the 80 degrees mark. Turn your dish towards your left bit by bit, while standing at its back. Also, ensure your lnb is skewed between 5& 6 0' clock, but very close to 6 0' clock. That was how I did mine

Spy360:

Once you can locate east then its simple.

As you move from east towards south, while raising the dish, the sat position decreases.

For example, 36e is lower than 28e and closer to the east. 5e is virtually facing south and up the sky.

Get it?
Thanks for your reply, your information really helped I appreciate,I didn't manage to nail eutelsat 16E though.I was using this frequency 10804 and SR, 30000 with a 60cm dish,I spent the all day without success, I could see signals showing but wasn't scanning any channels . I want to be watching channels like ORTB TV ,RTB TV, canal 2 English. I wasn't using a strong decoder
What was I doing wrong? Please help me I beg .My regards to anyone reading. Brian from Zambia

I am not sure if 60cm can do it in Zambia.

Even here in West Africa, 60cm is hardwork.

You are suggesting a 90cm Right? And was I using the correct frequency ,and does it matter which decoder I use?

I have 63%. 12284V27500 9O'clock green at my end with 18 stations (Badr) on my qsat 23g, and my two strong decoders.
The House Please not that tracking MBC is becoming harder day by day. u have to track Multi tv on 12525V30000 8O'clock then rock ur dish upward gently towards your left while facing the dish.

Thanks for your detailed explanation. However, may I know if yours was done with 60 cm dish? Also, while tilting to my left from the S-E direction, would I need to get to the East direction just like how 28° E and 36° E are facing?
Re: Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread by fureuchi: 3:35pm On Mar 27, 2017
Brian kindly use 90 cm or larger dish to nail Eutelsat 16 east. Only Canalsat Reunion frequency can be nailed with 60cm in Zambia.
