JuanDeDios: It is not motorable Trucks of containers parked everywhere You can't access places like Liverpool, creac road, tin can island etc without bike. Apapa is the only place you will get to, to see bikes stuck in traffic due to narrow roads they have to pass after trucks has taken over all access 1 Like |

He should get out, this man doesn't even know he is a governor. If you go to obalende, the number of bike riders are up to 1 billion. How is it possible to pursue them away, when police station. To even think there is a police station there, with that level of lawlessness from those bike riders at obalende. Why possible is it to stop bike riders. |

Maybe the streets should be raided and these urchins arrested and profiled. Your name: bla bla bla Your job: okada State of birth: bla bla bla Action: send you back to bla bla bla State of birth if you were not born in Lagos! One of them was casually crossing the road on foot around Lekki market and when the bus driver told him to leave the road he quickly became belligerent and ready to fight. Uneducated louts who know nothing but death and murder. No matter how much they make, they don't marry properly, they don't live in good houses, and they never build anything. What kind of people are these? And for those of them that are from Niger, they should be arrested and imprisoned and after 3 months sent packing to whereever they came from. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Lanrelagboi: You banned Gokada, Max Ng & co, that had already filled the gap of illegal Okada and you didn’t think the vacuum would be filled? Those “Niger-ien” Okada guys are lawless animals; whenever they gather in large numbers anything can happen. I’ve known them from Abuja, years ago, before they infiltrated Lagos. They don’t even fear police. Only soldiers in Uniform with guns. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Sanwo-Olu Announces Total Ban Of Okada In 6 Local Government by Nobody: 3:11pm On May 18, 2022 |
Long overdue. Yet, like others have concluded, can it be implemented and sustained? I remember same Sanwo-Olu recently made extensive plans to ban okada completely and replace them with "last mile" buses with even hire purchase plans to allow Lagosians buy and run the small buses required. That suddenly disappeared into thin air. We will have to see how it goes but Okada menace has to stop. Especially with the many serious negatives linked to it. |

quentin06: Yes, mostly. And increasingly, a lot of them are from Niger, chad and such places. It is easier for them because one Seriki that needs an army of idiots to do His bidding in Lagos, will charter hundreds of Okada and Keke and give to them without any demand for collateral, because He already owns them. |

A mega city do not need okada. Accra Ghana no okada, Kigali Rwanda no Okada, UK no Okada, New York no Okada, yet they live and thrive. Okada riding is bad for our ecosystem, cos they burn out lot of exhaust fumes. Okada riders injure and kill thousands via accident Okada riders are a security threat, due to its ability to navigate quickly and escape crime scene. Bokoharam can easily use okadas to invade Lagos, because most okada men are fulanis, so they can use them to blend in. 2 Likes |

Aside the 6lga, there should be a kinda system in place to checkmate the influx of aboki in our society. It's not just bike riding, it should extend to keke, scrap collectors, cobllers, etc. They tend to be aggressive over any small issues, if they notice they are guilty and on the minority at time of event, they play dumb as though they understood nothing. 3 Likes |

Why is it selective? Where should they carry their terrorism to? These six routes are those used by Sanwo Olu, the big man in Ikoyi and their group of friends and family. Without delay this ban should be indefinite and total in the whole of Lagos. These abokis have made it a terrorist group. Their madness on Badagry road, Festac town, Satellite town are second to none. What about Ipaja and Ikorodu area? Everyday we see an invasion of abokis on the back of trailers, with their bikes, arms and food products. Lagos appears to be at war for nothing with these unreasonable evil people. They must be stopped by all means. 2 Likes |
