The convoy of automobiles carrying the Presidency's advance team of security guards, protocol officers, and media personnel was ambushed by suspected terrorists on Tuesday near Dutsinma, Katsina State, killing two policeman in the process. President Muhammadu Buhari (ret.) was visiting his hometown of Daura for Sallah when the Presidency officials arrived there. The incident was acknowledged in a statement by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President for Media and Publicity, although the number of casualties was not provided.
