In December 2005, about 60 Loyola Jesuit College students lost their lives in the Sosoliso Plane Crash. Kechi Okwuchi was the only student and one of two people who survived the plane crash. Since then, she has undergone about 75 surgeries. But Kechi still needs help. She is scheduled to begin facial reconstructive surgeries in Boston this summer. Two of her close friends, Somachi Chris Asoluka and Yimi Omofuma are doing something amazing for their friend. They are trying to help her raise money to help her cover the cost of her surgeries.
