The upcoming election has brought to limelight the fact that Tinubu's wife is an ordained Pastor in redeem. My question is, was she supposed to be ordained seeing that she is unequally yoked with an unbeliever in the light of the Scripture? Or does the Bible have different rules for different people. The scripture says;

2nd Corinthians 6:14-18.
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Yes, I too am a bit surprised that the RCCG of which I am a member would ordain Mrs Tinubu as an assistant pastor knowing fully well that she married an unbeliever.

There is even a popular picture she took with daddy GO and Tinubu on her ordination day.

I guess that's one advantage of being a powerful celebrity. Some rules are relaxed or ignored for your sake.

But I think it's wrong. But I also think to avoid conflict and enmity with BAT, pastor adeboye peacefully celebrated him and wife without any questions.

Not holding brief for Remi Tinubu though.

If The couples started out as Muslims, and later had kids, but one of the couples converted to Christianity and served in the church for years..… would you advise the couple divorce before the one that converted to Christianity can be ordained to a leadership position?

Kindly advise.

Your Corinthians verse is from Paul not Jesus. Where did Jesus say a Christian can't marry a Muslim or other faith? Did Jesus even preach Christianity at all in his lifetime?

The highlighted qualifies a man to serve in the congregation most especially when their home is in good order:

But to the others I say, yes, I, not the Lord: If any brother has an unbelieving wife and she is agreeable to staying with him, let him not leave her; and if a woman has an unbelieving husband and he is agreeable to staying with her, let her not leave her husband. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in relation to his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in relation to the brother; otherwise, your children would be unclean, but now they are holy. 1 Corinthians 7:12-14

I believe one day you will come to Christ. Because the way you are obsessed with Christianity show that it is just a matter of time before you totally surrender to Jesus

I understand your point. If the husband was just a nominant Christian, it would have been permissible. But to have a husband of an opposite faith is like two parallel lines that are moving in opposite directions. If she couldn't open the eyes of her husband to understand the truth concerning salvation, it's not worth it remaining in such relationship especially for her status as a Pastor.

Look at how Deborah was killed just because she mentioned Jesus who they also acknowledge. The Muslim belief and that of the Christians are completely different. How do they pray together? Which faith will their children follow? It's a confused and compromised relationship.
