tinubu didn't build on any legacy,he only enriched him self and his family with Lagos wealth..

Ambode in 4 years did more work in Lagos than tinubus 8 years misrule..

But do to ambode refused to pay tinubu with Lagos money he decided to chase him out of office..

Tinubu represent everything bad leadership should be..

JaiyeOLA14:

Which Awolowo was father of Lagos? grin grin grin

Look JaiyeOLA14, the gentle man you quoted above is very right! As a Yoruba person [from your name], I expect you to already know your history... except if you are using a fake Yoruba name as your moniker.

Obafemi Awolowo's Action Group Party developed and governed more than 90% of the total land in today's Lagos State. About 18 of the 20 Lagos LGAs/landmasses were formerly in the Western Region of Awolowo till May 27, 1967 when Lagos State was created AMONG 12 NEW STATES by General Yakubu Gowon for the indigenes of Lagos State.

It was Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN, the great leader of the UPN and former Action Group Party that endorsed and raised the hands of Lagos State Governor, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and his Deputy Governor Chief Rafiu Jafojo both Muslims in 1979 and 1983 elections which UPN Party won.

The famous and massive Industrial Estates in Ikeja, Apapa, Ilupeju, Iganmu, Isolo, etc, were established by the revolutionary Chief Obafemi Awolowo in the 1950s.

The Western House skyscraper on Lagos Island and other prime Real Estates in Lagos and the rest of the Old Western Region were built by Awolowo and his dynamic team and then other regions in the East and Northern Regions started copying what Awolowo did. Orile Iganmu was the boundary between Lagos Island and the Western Region!

The Lagos State Government has to persuade all private TV and radio stations in Lagos to devote 10 minutes a day towards teaching their listeners the political history of Lagos State before May 27, 1967 and after May 27, 1967. Many young and recent immigrants from the Ibo areas here do NOT even know that it Lagos Island that was the capital of Nigeria... NOT the whole of Lagos State!
