Abdullahi Ibrahim Gobir is the new Senate Majority Leader. The position has been vacant following the defection of Sen Yahaya Abdullahi (Kebbi North) to PDP.

Gobir represents Sokoto East Senatorial District and has been in the Senate since 2011.

I don't even see any need for this senate.
And worst part of it, we do bicameral legislature. But they masses are not feeling the effects of it.


The lawmakers only go there to enrich themselves with bogus allowance. No important Bill to help they people that voted then in.

What difference does it make? Do we truly have a senate in this current government? With all the inefficiencies of the Buhari led administration and no motion for impeachment, it is obvious, the senate doesn't understand the situation of things out there.

A change in the senate majority leader translates to nothing to the average Nigerian.
