There have been several agitations for a Christian VP for the APC Presidential flagbearer Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Many Nigerians from mostly the Northern and Western blocs didn't subscribe to a Muslim Muslim ticket.

The choice of Shettima by Tinubu came as a result of wide consultation with the relevant stakeholders in the ruling party.

The question now is, what will happen if Tinubu should drop Shettima for a Christian VP? Tinubu knew the anticipated backlashes he will receive for picking the former governor of Borno State as his running mate.

If Tinubu should succumb to this temptation,he will lost the election. There are no northern Christian he can pick for the job that can match Shettima's record and acceptability.

This will give Atiku a walkover victory against the ruling party.
