The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party took a new dimension on Friday with the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, making a series of allegations against the Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, and the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, among others.

While the PDP is waiving the olive branch in the direction of the governor, Ayu and Atiku refused to react to his outburst.

At the PDP convention in May, Wike had polled 237 votes to finish second behind Atiku, a former Vice-President, whose 371 votes gave him the privilege of flying the party’s flag in the 2023 presidential election.

Although Wike has continued to pledge his loyalty to the PDP, he is insistent that following the emergence of Atiku, the national chairman of the party, Ayu, cannot continue to preside over the affairs of the PDP given that he is from the North like the presidential candidate.

The stone which the builders rejected, has now become the chief cornerstone. Support Peter Obi, they said no.
PDP is moving towards their downfall.

I was thinking the only opposition Labour party has is PDP, but the current problem rocking PDP now makes it look like Labour has no opposition at all , so it's going to be smooth ride to aso rock.

Don't even think of the other party Yekini Amoda is a flag bearer, that one is not party. Their Muslim mûslîm ticket killed the party and buried it, let's not even talk about the hatred Nigerians have for the party that is filled with fóolish idiotic nonêntities.

If Ayu cannot sue Wike for defamation or false claim over that N1b, then he should be prosecuted. Ayu should without delay be made by the party to vacate the position.

With the refusal of Atiku to get Ayu to step down, one can easily agree with OBJ’s words in his book about the two of them.

Whatever the case, I ported long ago too. I am OBIdient.

Sensible people don't want to labour in vain by supporting a failure. That's for Obi-diots only.

Did Atiku said that Ayu must resign since he, a northerner emerged as the presidential candidate of the party? Is it not because of this zoning of a thing that Atiku, Tambuwal, Saraki and the rest walked out on Jonathan?

The prudent thing for Wike to have done is to work against Atiku. He doesn't need all this noise making and ranting.

At the polls after Atiku lose, he'll smile and know he has done the Lord's work. grin
