You have to serve someone, before you become a boss. Besides most men will do it, the question should be you women, since you believe you queens are beyond such.

No ego when begging, but egoistical to work. Such friend should be dumped with immediate effect. I'll rather work for a friend, than a boss. With a friend, you can get away with lots of things, and he will overlook.

Also, only help people that need assistance to get back on their feet or start something, so they can carry their own weight. You don't help repeatedly, especially when it's not for the two reasons above. Or else they take your kindness for a fool, something Nigerians are specialist on.

I've come to the painful realisation that a lot of people you're helping is like pouring water inside basket. They are like the proverbial biblical story of the three servants that were given talents each to multiply.

Two multiplied their talents, while the third one keep giving all kinds of excuses why he couldn't multiplied his. And his master rebuked him. Keyword here is "rebuke", not a " reissue" of talent.

That story teaches that some people are like dead plant, doesn't matter the exposure to sunlight, watering and pest clearance, they won't grow. Arrogance, laziness and ego are deadly combination of traits a person should NOT possess.

So you should help, but it is the responsibility of the helper to verify that the needy is worth helping, and that you're not watering a dead plant. You spent weeks, if not months making money, you insult your hustle if you give it to someone that will squander it and keep coming for more.

These three things should not be part of the arsenal that forms your character or personality.

One is inevitable and probably not your fault. You must by all means overcome it to live a good life.

The other can be a result of ignorance, but once you become informed or aware of it, don't hesitate to make a positive change.

The last, you must make sure it is aloof from you so that it will not become your downfall.

I talk of these three things: Poverty. Stupidity. Arrogance.

The presence of one is a drawback.
The combination of two is deadly.
All three make you worst than a dead maggot.

Why do you think we have poor people all over.

Poverty is a mindset bound by laziness, arrogance and entitlement.

Poor people have alot of problems that's why they never go far. Poverty is a conscious or unconscious choice that bounds people from becoming rich or at least financially buoyant.
