The Catholic Archbishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah has urged Christians to make wise decisions in electing a new crop of political leaders in 2023.

Kukah made the comment in Yola at the 2022 Church Leaders Summit.

He also asked the Christian community not to worry about the choices made by political parties in fielding their presidential candidates as power rests with the electorates.

“We have to all make the right calculations and not be swayed by emotions,” he said.

“Because after all we’ve been through in Nigeria, we must avoid a mentality of ‘us versus them’.

Given all we've been through, an Obi/Datti presidency strikes the acceptable balance from all ramifications. More so, they're relatively younger than the other frontline runners and loaded with fourth industrial revolution (4IR) ideas that Nigeria needs to fast track her development. So, vote Obi/Datti, vote Labour Party come 2023. We are tired of self-inflicted hardship.

Already the use of 'Vote wisely' is already seen as a campaign word against Atiku and Asiwaju and their wicked parties. Anyways, I think that's the meaning too. Vote Obi Datti for a New Nigeria!

What is "swayed by emotions"?

He did not advice only christians, rather he advised Nigerians to be wise in their voting decisions and not be emotional.

To make nigeria great, we must obay the man of God and obidiently vote the right right choice.
