Why The Supreme Court Should Decisively Act On Tinubus Drug Case by owobokiri(m): 9:17am On Nov 09, 2022
The Courts should act and save The Republic Now! Bola Tinubu pushed drugs! It's against the law. He should not be on the ballot. It's that simple...

It is no more news that in the 80s and 90s, the former governor of Lagos state and the current Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was actively involved in a string of drug related offences in The US and the West and was caught in the act by relevant authorities there.

Documents showing Mr Tinubu paying huge sums of money accrued to him as profits from this heinous endeavor, to the United States government as restitution, are all over the internet and as such in the public domain. Tinubu himself has been very careful to dodge any engagement that will ultimately force him to divulge more information on this unbelievable crime.

Within the last few hours, The United States government has gone out of her way to reveal some of these documents to the public (we will discuss why they chose this time to confirm this info another day). The released documents are sordid to say the least and are nothing but a testament to the moral decadence that has always been the hallmark of the ruling elite in this country. To think that a man caught in the middle of a drug business, with his hands in the cookie jar so to say, is about to be foisted on the rest of us as the President and Commander in Chief, with "powers to fight drug wars" across board, is overwhelmingly alarming!

This is why The Supreme Court of Nigeria has to quickly step up, step in gallantly and do the needful! This charade has ran its full course and now must be stopped! We are not a colony of Escobars! This country is at a bend and allowing all these nightmarish politicians with all their iniquitous baggages to hyjack power through the backdoor in the most populous black country on Earth, is nothing but a prelude to disaster!

He did the crime! Criminals have no right to the presidency. He should be told so in stark terms, to protect whatever strands of sanity that is left in our electoral process.
TINUBU SHOULD BE DISQUALIFIED NOW!
The Supreme Courts should act FEARLESSLY and save the Republic..

I know you are old enough to know that the Supreme Court is not on Nairaland. So, stop being mischievous and do the needful-get your lawyers and approach the court and petition them. What is so hard in that?

You guys are embarrassing Nigerians by pushing the catastrophic candidacy of this thoroughly crossed man. You guys are demarketing this country. You are making Nigeria and Nigerians laughing stocks before the international community!

Stop this nonsense! What have come over you!?

Stop this infuriating attempt at making corrupt minds the leaders of a promising nation. Drug Barrons belong to the maximum security prisons. They don't belong to the State Mansions and Presidential Palaces.

in as much as I love to see this bastard POLITICIANS go through pain,I don't think tinubu has a case to answer in Nigeria because

1) the alleged crime was committed abroad

2) the alleged crime was settled abroad in a civil manner and it will take a lot of evidence to revisit the case and treat it as a criminal case in the USA

3) even if evidences are provided,it will be treated in the USA not NIGERIA,

remember James ibori was convicted and served his jail term in the UK for crimes committed in the UK but he is a free man in Nigeria

JUDICIARY HAS PROCEDURES,THINGS ARE NOT JUST DONE BECAUSE PEOPLE WANT IT TO BE DONE...

TINUBU HAD AN ALLEGED CASE VS THE USA AND NOT A CASE VS NIGERIA

We made this kind of mistake with buharis certificate and other falsifications and he got away with those to destroy the country.

We must not make similar mistakes and allow Bola Tinubu to get away with this infamy! He is going to bury the country with it..

The Supreme Court must come out with a categorical statement on this! If they say it okay, then every Tom Dick and Harry in different jails all over Europe, Americas and Asia, including the likes of Ibori, can come back to Nigeria, get the necessary qualifications and become Judges even in the Nigerian Supreme Court!
You understand how it works now?

Let them set that precedent with their proclamations. It's important for the country to know whare the law stands on this.

But as far as I'm concerned, a criminal is a criminal, whether in Laos or in Rhodesia or Tanganyika
