Even if there was oil in the north ...you need the oil to be 3 times the oil in the Niger Delta region for it to make economic sense drilling the oil honestly

From my analysis it would take 15 billion dollars to build pipeline to transport oil from the north east basin to the ocean in calabar ...or at best ebonyi so you can then use the calabar river to move them

So you need at least 1 million barrels per day production for like 20 years to make such investment worth it

People would say build module refinery ? They are hardly profitable

.well let's watch n see

There is no oil... It is the exact same rig that the French explored in the early 2000 that they re-open and flare gas. They are scamming bubu the fool.

Building transportation pipe line is not even the issue. They will not even think about that for now. Unless they discovered a larger field which must have over 20 oil Well producing at a higher Pressure.
However if they succeed getting oil in this WELL , They can possibly lift the crude with tankers trucks to any possible loading terminal in warri , or truck to Benue river and offload to any small vessel to warri.

The big issue here is that this is not the first time Buhari and Abacha are using our resources in doing this by force drilling in the north. Yet they have never discovered any commercial quantity of crude oil ,and yet they won't give up and use the money to develop the numerous field in the Niger Delta so that people can get job. Going to the north to drill one WELL alone, will cover more than three drilling WELL expenses in the Niger Delta. The logistics aspect alone is a crazy one. But us awful

You do not know but you know a refinery could be built on a quantity you don't know by who you don't know

You must be really proud of your brain to advertise it like dis

It is good you have finally found some depth in thought to mention Dangote. That's why I asked who is building the refinery. I'm trying to guide you to sense through a slow and painful process.

Can you now mention the oil field for whose purpose Dangote it's building his refinery? Any name? There!!

The FG has three refineries close to oilfields. Are they working now? Have the oilfields closed down because they're not? There!!

I already educated you that the oil allocated to our FG owned refineries are not captured for 13%. Now that you ask about Dangote.

Are you aware NNPC presently has about 20% stake in Dangote refinery? That notwithstanding, Dangote refinery as a private concern can decide to buy at international oil market or he can decide to buy locally at a decided price.

What I'm pointing out to you dull sir is that the idea behind oil production in Nigeria is 13% derivation and oil producing status and not just refining especially for local consumption as you put it.

Get it?
You talk too much all of it nonsense

In English language there are thinsgs called TENSES

One of them is the conditional tense
Ask a literate neighbour to explain it to you

All I am discussing on this thread is that we have been told oild is being test drilled. We do not have any information so everything i have talked about is in the conditional tense once again educate yourself so that you can comprehend when you read and stop arguing foolishly
You claim oil is allocated to refineries have you git facts and figures
You are just bluffing vaguely

Tell us without rigmarole
What is the average daily production of oil in 2022 and how much is "allocated" to the non functioning refineries
My point once again is that if the oil in the North is in large enough quantities that would justify the building of a refinery and the oil would be sold to such a refinery and the state government would get 13% derivation
It is simple English

They don't care once they can have 30 per cent of oil proceeds from the south to waste on the project and give them 13 per cent derivatives even when nothing substantial adds up to the GDP from there. All that is made easy by political rogues in the south and avaricious traditional and religious leaders who support national impoverishment for their own dirty selfish enrichment.

Now the North has oil. Remember, the North is sitting on hundreds varieties of Mineral Resources. But the East, apart from the Coal in Enugu, na red mud full everywhere. grin

We have three regions in the North so be specific, count Middle Belt out of your Sharia North, the core North contribute nothing to Nigeria’s economy, south East and south south contribute 90% of Nigeria's wealth,

Imo State alone have the largest gas reserves in Africa.

The Oil in Imo is not in commercial quantity. That's why even with the small Oil, the East still contribute ZERO to the Economy. While the North alone contribute over 40% of our GDP.

Without the North, the East will not survive.

Can you prove that the north contribute 40% of Nigeria gdp? Keep consoling yourself with lie.

My direct question that you've lacked wisdom to answer is who will build the refinery?
You are just shooting aimlessly. Think man!! Think!!
If that's how it works, would our refineries be down and out now?
That you don't know that crude is allocated to our refineries is a testament to your ignorance.
Go back and study. I can't feed you everything.

Another point to note from your obviously flawed projection is that if the oil will be drilled locally and sold locally, will it be sold in Naira, our legal tender or dollars bearing in mind it's not an international sale at that point. Think!!

Who needs your kindergarten analysis? Nonsense! Is there anything they do that makes you happy so far it is about north, Buhari or Tinubu? What do you know about economic sense, that you never applied the same sense to your biafra region? Monday-monday Ipob enforcement is there, you never applied your economic sense to stop disruption of economic activities going on. Ipob/esn is destroying everything including key infrastructures in biafra land with hope that when they get biafra, they will rebuild back the infrastructure since they have oil; your honourable in reverse order never applied your economic sense here to stop Ipob/esn 3D-foolishness, but you are here preaching economic sense when deep down in you you don't like progress going on in the north since the report is not about Arochukwu or Nnewi.

Continue, some of us can not be fooled by your deceit. Nigeria is for all, every region should grow, but those who think their own economic sense is to first destroy their human and physical infrastructure in their midst can also continue since they refused to download free common sense to upgrade their kanu infected brains of thinking in reverse order. At least with this, the noise of "our oil,... blah, blah.." will reduce
in the end you said nothing.....

Oil found in Ondo state alone is more than what is found in both Imo and Abia states combine. Yet developer won't stop claiming they own all the oil when SS is not even talking.
