Yes, the West has partnered with foreign groups to achieve a motive, but what do they have to gain from Nigeria? They even warned the Nigerian government about a possible terrorist attack last month.

Let's be real. ISIS was not ISIS when they worked with the West. When the West saw ISIS become terrorists, the West dealt with them personally. Same with Osama bin laden. Taliban is not a terrorist group at all. The issue the West had with Taliban was that Taliban refused to stop Alqaeda from training in Afghanistan when US asked them to after 9 11.

After US and Taliban reached an agreement to stop allowing Alqaeda to train in Afghanistan, US left.

The West has no reason to support Boko Haram. In fact, they provide the Nigerian government with intelligence.

Don't mention Tinubu in this capacity. Tinubu has never caught the picture of a staunch Muslim, never. First, he married a Christian who he allowed practise her religion. Secondly, have you ever seen any news or broadcast showing Tinubu praying on one Salah Day or with some Muslim faithfuls? He extends his hands to whoever, be you Christian or Muslim, Hausa, Ibo or Yoruba. Be fair, Tinubu is not your stereotype "prominent" Muslim!
