which do I qualify for is the issue here not which is better. You can try study visa for any of the above countries. Or work visa if you are lucky to get a job offer in those countries. Or for Canada express entry if you meet the requirements. Or marriage . These places you mentioned are not looking for just anyone, they are after the highly skilles who will address labour shortages. There are thread on immigration to these countries on this section already. Read them

His question sounded like he was offered all of the above and having problems with selection.

Which country and program do i qualify for should be the question.

Europe is better. I wanted to move to Canada before, after visiting Toronto and Vancouver, I realized it's not for me. My quality of life will reduce big time.

Europe is a continent. You have to be more specific

Yes.

Kids lacks the mobility to go to school themselves in Canada, either the parents drop them in school, or maybe school bus. In Europe, either kids bike to school, or they walk, giving them a sense of Independence.

Canada is a photocopy of the US. Cities are built for cars, not for pedestrians. Human interactions are deeply lacking in North American cities. Point of contact for people to socialize is scarce.

It's difficult for an American tourist to come to Europe and not love how well-planned EU cities are. You can perfectly survive without a car in Western Europe. For example, the prime minister of the Netherlands is known to go to work by bike everyday.

Europe is insanely well-planned, that if I tell you to meet me at the train station at 3pm tomorrow in let's say Germany while I'm in the Netherlands, my train will be there at that time, or few mins earlier.

Than to live in Canada, I'll live in Ghana. I can understand if one move to Canada from Nigeria, then it's a better option. But for a European, moving to Canada is to reduce your quality of life.

How many cities have you visited in Canada to come to that conclusion? If you have so much to say about Canada, I can't imagine how much you'd have to say about the USA

At the end of the day, it's quite subjective... Even after living for Donkey years in Europe (Which also includes the UK, and adhoc European countries like Turkey), I still prefer the United States Hands down. As for Canada I remain indifferent due to a lot of reasons-some of which @Pansophist already stated... Especially the Wokeness part grin. In my opinion, Canada is basically a budget version of the US without gun use.

As for why I prefer the US to Europe, if you are a business minded person (The US economy is literally unmatched) if you know your onions you are ok, however in Europe it's not just about knowing your onions, there are a lot of factors;

-1), the US is literally like dealing with the whole world within one space and using one language... yes English! Lets see you try that in Europe- The linguistic quagmire that exists in Europe when trying to do business is simply insane. There are areas in Europe I would have loved to collaborate with, but the mere fact that they all function in a different language is just off-putting.

If anyone has lived in Switzerland before, that person would understand what I mean (Unless you love existing within a communication complex, spontaneously toggling between French, & German for example is absolute madness). In addition, many countries in Europe have multiple official languages within eg; Luxembourg, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain (Visit Barcelona and guess again if you think only Spanish is spoken in Spain), and Belarus. To even think that Swiss German, Austrian German and Standard German are different is still mind boggling...So for that one, I no fit.

-2) Currency context in different EU locations; Imagine the challenge when also negotiating prices with some European countries that have their own currency outside the Euro, especially those Scandinavian countries (I always refer to as the weird part of Europe). Look, every EU country have their currency culture, basically the value of 5 Euros in Germany is very different from the value in Italy or Portugal. Also, 5 Euros in Luxembourg is not 5 Euros in Sweden(about 60 Swedish Krone), so pitching a 5 Euro idea in any of these EU countries, require very different approaches to the location... Now I hate that specifically, because that is another case study on it's own, so for ease of contextual approach to currency, I prefer collaborating with EU countries within a certain radius, that have similar currency cultures-which is rather narrow minded, but less complicated. This unique situation, does not occur in the US.

-3) I think some parts (Germany, Belgium, Netherlands) of Europe are just too controlled, income, taxes and social arrangement ... Cash inflow no matter how small, can't avoid the social radar system- Although this has it's advantages, but as a business oriented dude, it doesn't make any sense, it's very hard to make any profit from a system that is already Pre-calculated. Basically your profits have already been simulated, so if you go over or you fall below, you have to explain. In the US there is absolute liberty to go crazy with your business within and abroad no restrictions- it's literally your own business.

-4) If you have a Job in Europe(Mostly applies in Germany, Belgium, Austria and the Netherlands), the chances are that you fall within a general pay bracket (I pass my neighbor does not apply)... Basically, even if you have a PhD in Nuclear physics or you are a crack IT specialist, there is almost no difference between your salary and that of a restaurant chef who can definitely work more hours than you... How? yes that's what a socialist system can do (Infact in some cases you are even obliged to pay more tax than the restaurant chef) The US is very different on that regard there is a vast pay bracket difference between skilled labour and unskilled labour.

-5) Acquiring property in some parts of Europe is very tricky and complicated compared to the US where money mostly does the talking.

Now when it comes to schooling, although most of Europe (UK and Ireland aside) have reduced tuition when compared to the more expensive US and Canadian tuition fees, the question remains; after school what next? can you cope and adapt to such situations as a business minded person or career minded person?

North America offers a larger Economy with increased labour opportunities, as well as a language that is common to Nigerians... "English". while Europe offers a smaller Economy (Than the US), labour opportunities which are more controlled and a linguistic challenge to non native speakers... Where would you want to stake your chances?

Your answer whoever you are, will be Subjective... and thats my point.
Very well elucidated opinion. I enjoy reading from people that clearly have depth. It is very very refreshing, esp on this nland streets.👍

Lol
He does.
But I think his assertion should focus more on Toronto and Vancouver. Canada is too big to come into conclusion based on two cities.
He's right tho', I can't stand Toronto.
