SECONDED! I wouldn't mind donating 100 pounds of my hard earned money to any religious institution in Nigeria if i knew that at least 80% of my doh would go towards good causes (unlike our so called men of god who spend your doh on jets and houses) I mean just because I don't believe in god it dose not mean that I can't donate money to a good cause

No. There's no arguing against the facts. Mr. Wilson did not give in order to propagate the Gospel, but rather for the promotion of good education for kids in lousy school systems - a totally different thing from directly or indirectly propagating the Gospel. Let's not argue about this.

Perhaps, just perhaps. . . one of such "developments" of the world that Mr. Wilson might have thought about is the Terrence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center (Terrence) or the Tri-State programme. I think it is only fair to say that atheists like Mr. Wilson largely see developmental programmes more than religious causes as reason for their gifts.

How do we know about this so-called 'true church' when it is "invisible"? What has happened to Matthew 5:16 - "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven"?? Are people in this "invisible" church supposed to be shining "invisible light" before "invisible men"?

bro I'm cool. i just want the atheist moderator to see various angles or sections by which the donation could be expended. the money has been given and its the prerogative of the catholic church to spend it the best possible way they feel like, except if there was a vouch by both parties regimenting how such money could be spent, limiting the scope of expenditure. if not the church being a representative of the body of Christ would at least use part of it to spread the message of the same one the giver chose to neglect or avoid. bro hope u get my drift once again once again

Maybe you are right about where some of the money might end up since we don't know all about any clauses discussed, but he did not give IN ORDER to proporgate the gospel. He gave for education.

I am quite sure that the donor gave the money to support the many charitable works of the catholic church. Charity is a universal ethos and does not carry a religious symbol.
unlike the pentecostal parasites that have invaded Nigeria, the catholic and anglican churches are involved in many charities to help alleviate the sufferings of the world's poor and neglected. if you are doing good deeds in the name of your religion, should I not support you simply because I'm an athiest?

A philanthropist gives $22.5million to Charity and this is what you have to say because he's non-religious/Atheist? Christian faith is not about is money , it is about is life and faith in God. So given money to catholic church does not signify salvation, as God will keep the agreement to bless him in return. The reason God will bless him in return is becus given is a principle that can be activated by anyone and in return be rewarded.
