Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has said rigging elections in Nigeria has become very difficult following the introduction of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The Governor who described BVAS as a laudable development in the nation’s electoral process commended INEC for deploying technology to strengthen the electoral process and reinforce confidence.

Akeredolu said this in his office in Akure while playing host to the retiring Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State, Mr. Rufus Akeju.

The Chairman Southern Governor’s Forum stressed that technology has made rigging difficult, noting that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will always emerge victorious in every election.

Labour Party should have reliable party agents across all the polling units in Nigeria. It will ensure that bad eggs in INEC don't compromise this election. INEC has a lot of bad eggs.

Mostly by massive vote buying. To these heartless misrule government people vote buying is not rigging.

This is the area any serious candidate should watch out because these politicians have so much impoverished the masses and can’t wait to massive weaponize poverty by attractively asking people to sell their vote at the polling units.

Most of those party agents do sell out and work with any highest bidder to do their bidding.

Some of these party agents, security operatives and INEC officials will sell out and turn blind eyes while the highest bidder political party start doing massive open vote buying. Show me your ballot paper and you will be paid N15,000 - N20,000 per vote.

Now there is poverty in the land and most uninformed and poor people will rather sell their vote for a pot of soup that day and be made to suffer another 4yrs
