The CBN directed the commercial banks not to accept the old notes while the governor is forcing the banks to accept the old notes. So who should the commercial banks listen to? Lol.

The Supreme Court supercedes, therefore the Governor is in order.
No, not only does the Supreme Court have no original jurisdiction in that matter (it should have been brought to the Federal High Court first), CBN was not even made a party to the case so they're under no obligation to listen to that sham of a decision. Besides, a state governor has absolutely no power to order that a bank be closed. That's a privilege that can only be exercised by the CBN Governor

You may not listen to the CBN, but all commercial banks in Nigeria must listen to and take directives from the CBN. That's the fact.

But it was pdp under Jonathan Goodluck that hired Godwin Emefiele?

You people are damned in that country, keep looking for a scapegoat to blame.

Didn't Buhari get the opportunity to sack him. Rather he reappointed him. So who do actually blame in this instance, GEJ or BUHARI?

Let's make good use of our senses.

FYI, Buhari reappointed Emefiele when his first tenure ended. Buhari could have kicked him out and replaced him, but he didn't. If you must criticize, at least have facts!

j

Banks that are closed before you now want to shut them down. Many Zenith bank here in Lagos closed. Some GT bank are also not operating. People are begging them to open so at least they can load the ATM with the little available note that CBN gave them.

GT bank in my area opened once last week. People went to their customer service to rectify issues and do transfer over the counter. Yesterday they didn't open people were lamenting

If he likes he should close it. It is because they are still getting small money in Ogun state. Where will POS operators get money for them to buy? Governor wey dey think with his yansh.

Supreme Court entertaining the case between FGN vs State is in order. This is one and the only time such precedent is allowed by the law.
I think they could only go to the SC only on constitutional matters the more reason the CBN was not joined in the suit. If the CBN had been joined, the case would have started from the HC.
