Even as a few jobs are created more are lost. We may not be in a recession but many businesses are looking at ways to cut costs and for many of them reducing their work is always the first idea that comes to mind.

It’s Not The End of the World

If you recently lost your job it is not enough reason to despair and lose hope. s and It most probably might be a blessing in disguise. Many business founders and owners today have their former employers to thank because they wouldn’t have discovered their entrepreneurial gifts had they not been sacked.

Take Stock

Getting the sack letter is always an opportunity to look back at your financial performance. Have a look at your saving habit. What have you been able to save. Your financial status at this point is very vital to what you hope to do further with your life.

Explore Your Options

At this point you’ll ask yourself some questions like, “Can I seek for another job considering my age?”. It may be that you wish to start your own business. Seeking new job, starting a business, investing your savings (if they are substantial and can get you living returns) are all options to consider at this point.

Follow the Path You Choose

If you decide to set out on the road to entrepreneurship you will have to evaluate your chances. How long can you live without needing to make money? This question is vital because you may not be making money immediately you go into business for yourself. In fact you’ll be managing from your savings until your business begins to generate appreciable revenue.

If you choose the job path, dust up your CV as it may need to reflect changes in experience and qualifications. Renew your skills and identify other possible organisations to work for.

Network Strategically

Offline and online you’ll need to network. Whether you decide to look for another job or set off on your own you will need to network. Get involved in your industry. Utilize online networking sites like LinkedIn to meet people who may help you on your way back up.

Finally, some luck, because you will need it to prove your former employers wrong. Though if you are still employed and reading this (maybe to gain the knowledge i case it happens) you may not need the luck now,

Good and valid points wink
In addition, before you go into labour market, choose a particular trade and build on it, be it IT, Carpentary, bricklaying, photographing, fishery farming, mechanical repairs, etc irrespective of your field, I tell you, you will never be afraid or feel insecure when being gainfully employed in any firm, and such will give you confidence at all times cool
