Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife on Thursday commissioned two modern community building projects she constructed in the zone. The projects a state of the Art Civic Center building at Nri, Anaocha LGA and the Akpu Village Hall Project in Abagana adds to the long list of key capital works expedited by Ekwunife for her constituents in the Senatorial District.

At Njikoka LGA of Anambra State where Ekwunife had arrived to inaugurate the Akpu Village Hall, the flag bearer of the People's Democratic Party noted that she reconstructed the dilapidated Akpu Village Hall for easy Administration of the Village.

Accompanied by her husband Chief Larry Ekwunife to commssion the new built hall at Nri, the Chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology disclosed that both facilities will serve as befitting venues for their meetings and create a good atmosphere for people to have their events.

Commissioning the facility, Ekwunife noted that her passion for development and impactful projects motivate her to attract projects for the people of the zone. She added that as a Senator from Nri Kingdom, it is her duty to make the community proud through her legislative impacts.
"I'm optimistic that every indigene of Nri will be pleased with my performance at the Senate because I have done so much for our people in all sense of honesty and humility, the Lawmaker said.

Speaking further, the Federal Lawmaker extolled her darling husband, Chief Larry Ekwunife for his continuous encouragement which made the project possible and thanked the people for their support over the years and appealed to them not to relent.

In appreciation, the Chairman of the occasion, Chief Clems Ifezue thanked Ekwunife for her giant strides and legacy projects in Nri Community and assured the Lawmaker that the community will reward her convincingly on 25th February.

The president General of Nri Community, Mr Oba Kelvin Obiegbunam thanked Ekwunife for her numerous projects in Nri Community and noted that Ekwunife has attracted numerous developmental and legacy projects in the community and assured her the Community's support.

Commenting her re-election bid, prominent community stakeholder Ezeike Chukwuebuka Prince, expressed confidence that Ekwunife would be returned elected owing to amount of infrastructure projects she facilitated.

Ezeike popularly known as "Enugwu-ukwu, Njikoka" bemoaned the campaign of calumny launched against Ekwunife by her opponents because of the support canvassed for her party(PDP).
He however disclosed his joy that despite the blackmails none of them had ever denied that she didn't perform well.
"Ekwunife is the only 9th Senate Anambra Senator, who has the most road networks to her name and also, she ranks the number 3 in the highest number of bills sponsored at the floor of the red chambers). The only thing they are using against Iyom is the emotional blackmail that she's supporting her party candidate which will never have any effect on her reelection bid.
"Iyom has shown she has the capacity to lobby the executive to do what others think it's not being done, just to the betterment of her people and constituency she's representing. This and many more reasons are why we will be voting Senator Uche Ekwunife.
