eddie7: DO YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN UK, BRITAIN, ENGLAND?
England is a country just as Nigeria, and its capital is London just like Abuja is the capital of Nigeria.
Great Britain is a collection of 3 countries which came together as one country and has its capital as London. Those 3 countries are:
1. England, 2. Scotland and 3. Wales.
When you include Northern Ireland to these 3 countries, they become United Kingdom (union of four nations) Viz: 1. England, 2. Scotland, 3. Wales, and 4. Northern Ireland.
That is why it is referred to as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Collectively, it is taken as a country. And when this is the case, London is its capital.
Note however that the individual nations all have their own respective capitals.
Accordingly, the capital of Scotland is Edinburgh, Wales is Cardiff; Northern Ireland is Belfast; England is London.
Ps : Northern Ireland is not to be mistaken for the Republic of Ireland. The latter is a separate country. Its capital is Dublin.

Flango: I don't think England, Wales or Scotland can be referred to as Countries, as in a state. Is there an English, Welsh or Scottish passport or citizen? Is there an English, Welsh or Scottish Military? Is there an English, Welsh or Scottish embassy or high commission in any country? The point is that we can best refer to them as Nations. There's a difference between a nation and a country even though they can be similar in some cases.
Just that, those nations agreed to operate independently in certain matters like football, for example. The Igbo or Yoruba nation can do the same too, as long as FIFA accepts and the country, Nigeria is OK with it. I just hope I'm not sounding too stupid sha...
That's the way Nigeria started. The regions ran as country in the same republic until the disaster called military intervention happened. The UK countries - that's what they identify as - are devolved under to fiscal policies. They were among the first members of FIFA and registered as individual countries. If we devolve in our constitution. We may attain that too.

Arab nations don't want anything to do with Israel that was why European Union accept Israel
Arab nations just can't wait to invade Israel, they'll invade if there is any slight opportunity. unfortunately for them Israel is always ready 24/7 to counter back if they attempt any stupid actions
I love how UAE kept quiet all through, lol they're still enjoying their oil money and they've many things at stake
