Prettygirl200:It seems you listen to Radio Nigeria and watch NTA so much and so have been captured by their patriotic jingles about Nigeria being the giants and the best country in Africa. They just want to instill patriotism inside you as a young Nigerian. They know it's all lies. Nigeria is in a mess presently. If you visit Ghana, the only thing that would bring your mind back to Nigeria is missing your relatives and friends you left behind. Living in Ghana is like a living in a paradise. |

You will never know how shit Nigeria is until you travel put, I visited Abidjan and Accra last year December and I wished I never returned to the USA...very peaceful and serene atmospheres in both cities, stable electricity, a transportation system that actually works, good roads, affordable wares, beautiful curvy women, breathtaking beaches etc... I decided there and then to invest my businesses in both Ghana and Ivory coast. I've already made plans to buy a property in Accra and put people there as a way of making money, I've adopted Ivory coast and Ghana as my home countries now. If I'm in Nigeria then it's just to relax with family back in the East where I have most of my tech company investments. Naija is a shithole, I visited better climes and saw the light. |

kokorokoman: After going through all your epistle, I have just two questions for you: 1. If Ghana is so far ahead of Nigeria as you claimed, why are you in a rush to leave Ghana and come back to Nigeria without achieving anything in Ghana and to start all over again in Nigeria? 2. You called naira useless, did you know that cedi was so useless to the extent that Ghanaian govt had to revalue it to make it 1cedi=dollar? What is the exchange rate today, cedi/dollar? |

CBR100:You people always come up with all this bragging Nigeria bigger economy, giant of Africa bullshit. What is the point if you got the biggest economy in Africa and the quality of lives of majority is very poor. All the running around people do in this life and around the world is just to have a better life, there is nothing else. Good economy, big economy ,good government, education, business etc is just to have better life while you are alive after a while you die. So what is the point you have a big economy or rich in mineral and human resources and yet you don't live good life ,at the end of the day everyone will die and leave. 4 Likes |

maasoap:this is a multiple acres of farmland with structures in it. from calculations, i spent far above 2 million naira if transportation to and fro from my base every week to the farm is added. i was given the farmland for free, the guy that gave me the farm land was like , 'bring tractor, just dey clear dey go, anywhere you fit clear reach you stop' dude was just about 23 years old. so just imagine how much if i had paid for the land. the farm was in the same community with two other very big foreign farming estates. it was my experience in this villages politics i knew nigeria is doomed, imangine a king and elders doing their best to make sure the road leading to their community does not get tarred. you will know the real nigeria you are in when you start investing, the young shall grow too. |

maasoap:this is not my first time in ghana, i have been running between benin, togo and gh for sometime, this my current stay in gh is not even my fifth time of being here, secondly i came here with nothing, i tried my best to make something out of nothing but things didn't really work out. maybe you have never being in this kind of situation but i am sure many people has. your secondly, is it a bad thing that a govt had to make a policy it deemed necessary to strengthen it's currency? do you know as a nigerian you cannot even make international transactions with your debit cards, like why must simple things as this be difficult for nigerians, something a togolese can do with his card seemlessly? abi you never even travel before sef? i called the naira useless because in 2013 i was able to live for a whole week with just 2k naira if converted to tz shillings in tazania, a full plate of food with varieties was just 200 naira. in the same tz today with just little difference in price of their stuffs you can't even survive a full day with that same 2k now, so is me calling naira at it current state useless not justifiable? |
Re: My Take On Comparison Between Ghana And Nigeria by kokorokoman: 5:16am On May 05, 2023 |
inoki247: of all the comments and rebutals, your point are just pure rubbish and childish i swear. prices of commodities in different countries varies due to many factors, in 2020 i bought star lager beer in benin republic for 500 naira when it was just about 250 in naigeria. do you consider the exchange rate and purchasing power before comparing? so what is your take on american citizens that buy a bottle of beer for five to seven dollars so we should now say american citizens are suffering because they are buying a bottle of beer for 2000 naira to 3000 naira? if you are talking about cities, baba, only lagos and abuja are qualified to be called cities in nigeria and i hope you know the condition of both cities because i have personally lived in both places. only the central area in abuja is developed, how about lagos lol the surest way to measure a country's development and standard of living is the country's life's expetancy. nigeria with one of the lowest life expectancy in the world is 55, it means as an average nigerian you are expected to die at age of 55, ghana's life expectancy is 65 years. it means you, inoki247 have better chance of living for a whole 10 more years if you were a ghanaian or you move to ghana. |

@kokorokoman There's about 5 or 6 young guys from Ghana working in this bakery I work — they are paid less than 6k weekly. I'm not arguing because I'm tired of Nigeria but I'm surprised... |

Hydroxide: Tribal and religious bigotry would be the end of Nigeria. Now, that Tinubu has elevated it to national way of life, the future is already doomed. Someone created a thread to make comparison between Nigeria and Ghana. He believes that Nigeria is way behind Ghana in virtually all good things. He even used data to back it up. Yet that primitive neanderthal arrived and called him Igbo. Imagine the foolishness! What the op did by making comparison between Nigeria and Ghana is called peer review. It is common in sane sites like Quora or Reddit. You will see people compare US with Canada. UK with Australia etc, and people will make inputs based on verifiable data. But here the sufferheads are all defending blindly based on ego and worthless pride. How many foreigners are coming to Nigeria for holidays or permanent relocation? How many are going to Ghana? What is data saying about quality of life in Ghana relative to Nigeria? What about education, roads, pipe borne water, electricity etc? I felt so irritated reading the rubbish that abobaku and others like him were saying. If it's only Igbos that are uncomfortable with Nigeria's rotten state, then it's a thing worth celebrating. Nigeria has decended to the worst of the worst but here are hungry fools defending the same criminals that made their lives miserable. Anyways, Charles Darwin's theory is already happening to them and it will continue until only a few survives and maybe then decide to build a sane country like it happened in Rwanda. |

Those of you wey dey oppose the Poster by calling him names will forever remained blind and retrogressive. Sometimes, I am forced to think of committing genocide on people with such useless ideas. Wether u like em or not...Nigeria no fit progress. It is a fact. They born u and u die go...to wake up in hell. Una need Lobotomization period. |
