The Ebonyi State Police Command has directed the people of the state to disregard the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, scheduled for May 8 to May 11 in the state.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Faleye Olaleye, described the sit-at-home as unconstitutional.

Olaleye’s directive was contained in a statement by the command spokesman, Onome Onovwakpoyeya.

Quoting Olaleye, Onovwakpoyeya said such a directive was unlawful and couldn’t stand.

“Police are aware of the statement in circulation by a group that called itself IPOB asking people to observe a sit-at-home from May 8 to May11, 2023.

“The people of Ebonyi should discountenance the order and go about their lawful business without fear of intimidation as Police is prepared,” he said.

He urged people of the state to go about their activities without intimidation and fear.

Olaleye charged members of the public to inform the police of threats to their safety.

Ipob did not declare any sit at home. The fake prime minister in exile declared sit at home. Come to onitsha, everywhere is bubbling. One fool who married is mother agemate declared himself prime minister after election that only him was the candidate and the voter. In a real election a pregnant goat will defeat ekpa hands down

Same thing IPOB have said! However, there are some really evil people who are fuelling this sit-at-home primarily out of pure hatred for the Igbo….their dislike for Mazi Kanu and their hatred and fear for the secessionist agenda come a distant second! They get a boner at the thought of the south-east economy being negatively impacted in any way by this sit-at-home and this is why they support it! Notice any thread about the daft efulefu ekpa and sit-at-home….they fall in to give a rousing support!

Remember these scum who love ekpa are the same dolts who despise Mazi Kanu, IPOB, the secessionist agenda and even Peter Obi! Go figure!

yes they will. When them don get enough and understand say this ipob agitation na scheme or cover for kidnappers, robbers, car snatchers and human vital organ harvesters to carry out their nefarious activities, and furthermore, them Easterners know say even with the release of KANU, perpertrators of these these acts will yearn to continue under one guise or the other. Truth is easterners know these perpetrators at least indirectly. When jungle is ripe, they will all be fished out and butchered on d open like many were killed in imo

IPOB are the leaders in the south east, no one can order anything without seeking their permission, even Peter Obi begged them to go out in Anambra, I am sure he wouldn't be in Anambra during election petition period, before IPOB decided to lock him up

Ndimkpurummiri:
who are the ipob terrorists?

See this one, whose entire online presence on nairaland is defined by his rabid hatred for Igbos’, asking dumbass questions! Who are the IPOB ‘terrorists’ if not you and your hateful ilk who go about the south-east engaging in murderous false-flag operations just to try and sustain the sit-at-home and implicate IPOB/ESN as ‘terrorists’! It says a lot that your Islamic Buhari gov’t rushed to tag IPOB (their worst nightmare) as terrorists, yet have said or done nothing about the murderous Fulani herdsmen engaging in pogrom and ethnic-cleansing all over the middle-belt and parts of the core north!

Tomorrow now, if the docile indigenous ethnicities of the middle-belt summon up the courage to launch a militia to face those murderous criminal invaders, you and Buhari will rush to the courts and browbeat them into tagging said militia as ‘terrorists’!
