Not only that the court lacks jurisdiction.

This is a pre-election matter and according to section 285 of the constitution, all pre-election matter must be filed within 14 days of the event.
This case was filed on the 11th day of May, 2023. Alex Otti emerged as the gubernatorial candidate of labour party for Abia State during the primaries held in June 2022

From a mere look, the case is status bared but the judge who is notorious in bribe taking, must have collected money to give this kangaroo judgement having been previously suspended by the NJC in 2016

A pre election matter at that

Election tribunal is the only court that can handle such for now

This is a miscarriage of justice, our democracy is being threatened grin

The NJC should punish any judge that collects bribe to pass a nonsense judgment, the judge knows what he or she is doing,he just want to create confusion and noise around, knowing fully well it won't stand.

Foolish man, how can he say Federal high court lacks jurisdiction on electoral matters? Before the establishment of election petition tribunals which courts handled electoral matters? What an idiot, so no intelligent person among LP people? It's clearly stated in the Constitution that the establishment of electoral petition tribunals was to reduce litigation of electoral matters in the FHC and SC of Nigeria, however in the situation whereby Election petition tribunals did not give judgement that are satisfactory to litigants they are to proceed to FHC and court of appeals before Supreme court. What an IDIOT! Federal High court lacks jurisdiction on electoral matters? Dumb bastard

Lolz....thats even before election is conducted, anything that was not filed before election cannot be entertained by a federal high court after election, its the tribunal, and there is time frame.

E get why they have to travel all the way to Kano for a sharia judge to deliver the judgement, other judges refused to entertain it😂😂

Some of you guys lack appropriate education on constitional issues.

Was the case of David Lyon of Balyesa not a pre-election matter?

Was the case of Zamfara APC governor in 2019 not a pre election matter- infact, that case too was on nomination and cancellation of the primary of APC that produced the governor?

The fact is, once Appealed, the case will be decided by the Supreme Court finally.

Main while, y are u guys clamouring for LP to be sworn in Abia even after the court judgement? Whereas, you guys are lamenting that APC should not be sworn in at the centre until Tribunal finishes the petitions. Is this not a total act of hypocrisy on you guys part.?

You try to sound woke but ends up embarrassing yourself

The case of Bayelsa and Zamfara you sited, those cases where filed with the 14 days as stipulated by law and it up from the tribunal to the supreme court.

In this case, the time frame has already elapsed long ago for a pre-election matter coupled with the fact that the court lacks jurisdiction to even entertain the case in the first place

Brilliant exposition.

Case is statute-barred like you rightly mentioned as it was not timeously challenged in line with the provisions of the constitution.

Well, let's see what the next set of jankara Judges do?
