*Teamcolekhana optimistic of Cole’s victory at tribunal, *denies withdrawing Election Petitions*

The Teamcolekhana LGA has expressed confidence that her principal, Rivers APC governorship candidate, Arch Tonye Cole Patrick, would soon reclaim his stolen governorship mandate at the Election Petition Tribunal.

Cole had approached the tribunal to challenge the victory of Siminalayia Fubara Joseph of the People Democratic party at the March 18 governorship election in the state.

Cole insisted he won the election, but was allegedly robbed of victory by the PDP.

In a statement signed by the Coordinator of Teamcolekhana LGA , double as Coordinator of All Coordinators of Teamcole Rivers chapter, High Chief Ledum Adonis Deekae JP, Mene Zaa 1 Of Africa, he said “It is often said that no matter how long the night tarries, morning would come.”

“When you conspire to thwart the outcome of an election against the choice of the people, you shouldn’t be afraid to defend the stolen mandate in court”.

“We assure the people of the state of our resolve to recover the mandate freely given to our candidate and party in the March 18 governorship election.”

He said that while the party and Cole was confident of victory at the Governorship tribunal, the People Democratic party (PDP) in the state stood no chance of upturning the APC’s victory at the state governorship election tribunal.

Speaking further , Mene Zaa refuted media reports alleging that his principal Tonye Cole has withdrawn its petition at the Governorship Election Tribunal, sitting in Abuja.

Zaa, the Political infantry General, an ardent Cole's, described the reports emanatng from shahara reporters and Rivers PDP data boys as false and reprehensible fabrication.

“I Mene Zaa 1 Of Africa and Political infantry General states in clear terms that my Boss and principal H.E , Arc. Tonye Cole Patrick did not withdraw his petition against INEC, PDP and Sim Fubara at the Governorship Election Tribunal.

“However, to set the record straight and for the benefit of our teeming members, supporters and the general public, according Barr. Sogbeye C. Eli clarify as follows;

1. Tonye Cole as the 1st Petitioner on record is still before the Court.

2. The All Progressives Congress as the 2nd Petitioner on record withdrew yesterday through her legal representative.

3. The withdrawal of the 2nd Petitioner yesterday follows the objection by the local Chapter of the party to being led at the Tribunal by Henry A. Bello, Esq of Counsel.

4. The facts forming the grounds for the aforementioned objection bother on trust and are not unconnected with the concomitant effect of the decision of the High Court of Rivers State in the case of Ibrahim Umah & Ors v. APC in 2018 on the party's fortunes at the 2019 general elections.

The Pro-Cole group, Teamcole, begs tribunal judges to save Rivers State, stand for justice.

Saying the presence of the party’s Governorship Candidate, Tonye Cole at the Tribunal’s sitting shows the seriousness of the party towards retrieving the mandate freely given to it by Rivers.

“The Rivers APC and Cole is therefore on course and we are determined to pursue the case to its logical conclusion, which is the retrieval of our Governorship mandate at the Tribunal.”

The Deputy secretary 1 Contact and Mobilisation Tonye Cole Rivers APC 2023 Campaign Council, assured that those who worked for the victory of the party and Cole would definitely receive their reward and advised those blackmailing others to desist from the ugly and wicked act.

He said that the Teamcole Khana LGA appreciated the concerns of thousands of Rivers over the false report, which pointed to the fact of the overwhelming support of the majority of Rivers for the APC and Tonye Cole at the March 18 governoship election.

“Let us continue to show support to the party, remain calm, and also pray that God will grant their Lordships the wisdom to continue to do the right thing always,” he concluded.
