Forget the stats you’re quoting.. This is Nigeria my frd. You won’t understand. Now if the subsidy funds will be used in sectors like education,health and even agriculture,salary increment ,power etc. Then of course it will be gain for the masses or citizens.. but looting will be the order of the day when it comes to this part of the world..

What do these NLC actually do for the teeming work force except Strike and protest?,When Nigerians are been used and denigrated in private companies,you hardly see them fights for their rights.Has NLC itself as an organisation improved the welfare of workers across Nigeria,how many buses have they bought to aid workers movement across the country?? If government wait till June to remove the subsidy, their will be scarcity before then because the marketers will stock pile and hoard the fuel in anticipation of subsidy removal so that they can make super normal profit. President Tinubu's action is the best, the prouncement caught everyone off guard. Fuel price will adjust by the market forces.

The fuel we are using now has been subsidized and still been hoarded. So what's the point?

Removing it is a step in the right direction but it was badly done. Maybe the president thought he will be doing a lot of good by announcing it on his first speech and Nigerians will jubilate but he got it wrong. This is a sensitive issue that requires proper planning before execution.

If it's possible, we must maintain the old price till the end of the month.

Nigeria Government does not have the capacity to pay fuel subsidy again and is currently owning NNPC more than USD 6 billion for Fuel Subsidy payment from Jan - May 2023. The Best time to remove Fuel subsidy was 2012 during GEJ tenure and the next best time to remove the subsidy is today. This Agbado Government was opposed to the idea of subsidy removal in 2012. See where we land now huh.

Nigeria will likely declare bankruptcy/insolvency like Ghana if she attempt to pay subsidy for additional year. Nigeria is BROKE. And please don't be so emotional because you are not the only one affected. E dey touch everybody.
