We don't trust this govt.

They have truly shown to Nigerians that the mandate they operates on is a Stolen one
a very irresponsible Govt.

This is how failure starts, a man that didn't stay up to 2 hours in office skyrocketed the prices of fuel, food and other commodities.

Another calamity president.

sad

I think it's time for this country to prioritize union busting and breaking up trade associations. We can't say we've truly liberalised the market if unions and associations take up the former roles of government and hold the country to ransom.

Also, there's a reason there are no unions in free market economies - they exist to only serve to stagnate the economy.
Senseless post.

Believe Nigerian government officials at your own peril.
They invested heavily in the Dangote group on an individual basis. The group borrowed US $3 billion to build the refinery, which evidently cost US $3.8 billion to build.

Fraud No 1 - The refinery was revalued in paper to US $13.9 billion when it was 70% completed.

Fraud No 2 - NNPC led by Mele Kyari, the statutory industry regulator and affirmatively a competitor with four moribund refineries in Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna, decided without public knowledge or imput, to buy 20% shares in Dangote Refinery. 20% shares is US $2.8 Billion.

The total amount required to revamp Warri and Port Harcourt refineries is US $2.65 billion. The question here is, what is the special interest in Dangote Refinery?

Fraud No 3 - The president of Nigeria hurriedly commissioned a refinery that is only 80% completed. The refinery may not be functional until January 2024.

NNPC, the industry regulator had advised the House of Representatives Appropriation Committee that the Dangote Refinery would be up and Running in March 2023 hence there would be no need to make provisions for Subsidy in 2023/24 Budget. Unfortunately, the Refinery is not ready and there are no provisions for subsidy in the budget.

At the commissioning of the half baked Refinery, Emefiele, the famous Central Bank Governor, announced that Dangote had paid 70% of the loan he took for the Refinery. I am forced to ask, how did a Refinery that is not operational raise money to pay 70%? The Nigeria stock exchange does not have any record of share sales in relation to Dangote Refinery other than the NNPC investment.

Fraud No 4 -When Dangote came into cement production, the government brought in a fictitous quality standard designed to restrict cement supply to his company and cut off all imports. The same style has now been adopted to grant Dangote the exclusive right to supply petrol to NNPC at a price determined by Dangote and his co- travellers.

Conclusion - the subsidy removal was planned and agreed by the government as a pre-condition for Dangote to build a refinery when the Western world is moving away from Fossil Fuel. The removal of the subsidy is to maximise profits for the owners of Dangote Refinery ie Mr Buhari, Mele Kyari, Emefiele, and so on. The list is long. They do not care about the common man. They forgot that there is no social welfare in Nigeria
.

They can tell us stories about loans and palliatives to deceive us as usual.

What they do not know is that Nigeria is about to be set on default setting!πŸ™†β€β™‚οΈπŸ™†β€β™‚οΈπŸ§ŽπŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ§ŽπŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸ‡³πŸ‡¬πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜Ž

This is exactly the position of many think tanks. The NNPC cannot decide a price template for a fully deregulated sector. The other day, NNPC MD boldly asserted that not even 100 refineries in Nigeria can alter the price template. Meaning the NNPC was still very much in control of everything, and not necessarily market forces. This is antithetical to what they say they want to achieve. I support subsidy removal only if the oil and gas sector is fully deregulated. It is time to destroy the menacing NNPC from its roots. It is utterly bizarre that a regulator of an industry is actively involved in business in the same industry. NNPC cannot be the sole importer of petroleum products and oversee subsidy removal. It must return to its responsibility of regulation and leave independent importers to import. It's either that or they return to status quo.
Nigerian politicians are not sincere, why leave nnpc to be the player and referee at same time, the politician have not stated what they are willing to sacrifice but they rushed to increase fuel prices to almost 200% without considering the sacrifices of the masses or a possible 100% increase in salaries and wages, wicked people

We are talking about fuel subsidy removal and you are talking about IPOB.

When we were talking about Naira redesigning policy you also talked about IPOB.

The same thing you did when we also talked about Tinubu coming to debate with other candidates.

Please is your father's name IPOB?

I'm just wondering because I keep following your comments here.

One of them even said the Union members should be jailed! Imagine the stupidity of these people!

It was sweet and pleasing to Tinubu and APC in 2012... They are about to get a bigger dose of their own 'anti-government' medicine!

When you write β€œHe shouldn't dare the resolve of the people”, which β€œpeople” are you referring to? You mean AJAERO + IPOB + LP + Obidient rascals?

You just watch and see MAJORITY of Nigerians teach your ALLIANCE OF EVIL a big lesson you will never forget.

We know the LP/Obidient Movement is spending a lit of money underground to fuel discontent among the populace and within the ranks of Labour Unions but you just wait and see how Majority Of Nigerians, who recognise the pain that the corrupt fuel subsidy regime causes Nigerians, teach you all a lesson and let you know who’s Boss. That a rascally percentage of you are very noisy does not mean the quiet minority are afraid of you or that you can have your way when you like.

You just watch and see, you senseless miscreants. This will be the last strike most of you will ever attempt again in your lives.

Does a serious government need to be told or taught that you don't just wake up and impose hardship on already suffering and dying people without first working out ways to cushion these effects?!!!

How can you campaign so desperately for power only to get there unprepared to lead?!!

Our politicians are very wicked set of people. The want to remove subsidy so that they can have enough money to loot.

As far as am concerned, subsidy is the only thing the common man is benefiting from the government.

Buhari increased the price of fuel he didn't use the money to do anything instead, he borrowed more money for looting.

Make them leave our subsidy for us!
the problem is the subsidized fuel is still looted and sold to neighbors Benin republic, Cameroon, Togo etc so we are actually subsidizing for them.

My brother, forget this Ipob of a thing. I am a staunch Tinubu supporter, but the truth is that, people are suffering as a result of this subsidy removal. Forget about all the rational behind it, everything has tripled now. The adverse and ripple effects of the removal is too much.

Remember what Nigerians went through in the first quarter of this year as a result of the cash policy implementation. It's unfair for people to have go through this now. Let's tell ourselves the truth.
