Just few days ago the
MEND released a
purported statement
saying they are going to
bomb Abuja again in this
year independence
annivasary, stating further
that this year's attack will
be bloodier than last
year's attack. However, in
what seems to be a
power tussle another
Niger-Delta militia group
who calls themselves the
Egbesu Mightier Fraternity
have steped up to combat
the Mend, threatening to
take down Jomo Gbomo
and the MEND if any
bomb blast should occur
on Oct 1st. The militia's
representative Okin Sele
have directed the MEND to
instead confront the Boko
Haram in the north
because a Niger-Delta
man is the president. In
his words "You cannot
threaten Jonathan, we'll go
after you". However to
forestall any ugly
occurance, the annivasary
parade which is normally
held at the Eagle's square
is not likely to hold. There
is hndeed fire on the
mountain. I'm keeping
