You have been living among Yoruba for too long meaning you are residing in one of the SW states.

You are not the only one from your region but millions of you. Why are Yoruba's not flocking enmass to your region the way you people do?

Simple answer, tolerance, accommodative and progressive.
The simple answer to your question is that Lagos was a former federal capital of Nigeria developed with federal government money hence it has infrastructure and industries that attract people from other states including those from Ogun, Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Kogi, Oyo and Osun states.
As we speak, there are lots of Nigerians from other tribes living in the East.
Let Aba, Onitsha, Asaba, Orlu, Abakiliki, Owerri or Umuahia be developed like Lagos and see how many Igbos will remain in Lagos and how many Yorubas will flock to the East.

Calabar should have also be in the status of Lagos as a former old Nigeria capital. Why is less development happening there compare to Lagos?

This Lagos former capital you guys keep on shouting, how many local government in the then Lagos state was the Capital? Just fraction of Lagos Island, Lagos mainland which is the biggest was under the control of Pa Awolowo.

If SW is not developed, some people won't be sneaking in at night with a polythene bag.

If SW is not progressive, it won't be attractive to investors

If SW is not secured, perhaps they would have also been locking themselves up every Monday just because they have issue with someone in far Abuja.

Says who?
If a person whose parents are from either Ekiti, Kogi, Osun, Oyo or Kwara claims to be an indigene of Lagos then I am equally an indigene of Lagos having lived in Lagos for so long.

How long was Calabar the capital of Nigeria?
Apart from Lagos that was developed with federal government money, which other Southwestern state are people flocking to?
Why are people from Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, Kogi, Kwara and Ondo also flocking to Lagos?

First of all are you Yoruba because Lagos is definitely Yorubaland
Or which Oba of Yorubaland has declared you a Loyal and Trustworthy Indigene of his Territory

Because People like Oshodi Tapa and the Saros were not initially indigenes but became indigenes after adopting Yoruba Language and Culture and also fully being Loyal to the Oba and indigenes of Lagos

So which first class Oba has declared you a bona fide Loyal indigene of his domain?

At the traditional level kids sometimes eat from the same dish even with elders
In such a gathering there is etiquette and protocol

everyone knows their place. You don't take meat anyhow.
You look and know whether meat go reach you or not.
Also which kind of meat is it beef, shaki or ponmo

So in the Lagos dish Yoruba take meat first like three or four then they belch

They take another two then they mess.

After that if there is still ponmo maybe Emeka and Marinus can share it

Chinedu cannot take meat before Oluomo

Nobody is driving Lagosians. It is some of you Eko wannabees whose parents are either from Ondo, Ogun, Osun, Ekiti, Oyo or Kwara that are threatening to drive away 'non indigines' even threatening the real Lagosians.
You are merely kicking against the pricks.

Lagos state was not developed with federal government money
Rather Nigeria was partly developed with Lagos money

Lagos has always contributed more to the centre than it received

Always and this goes back to 1890.

Even today there is NO SINGLE STATE that contributes more than Lagos state

NOT ONE

Gajagojo:

Lagos State was Never the Federal capital

More that 95% of Lagos was carved out of the Western Region

Only Lagos Island was the FCT

Below is the 1962 map of lagos

the dot at the bottom was where the lagos Island Capital Was all the rest was under the western region

You can see that more than 97% of Today’s lagos was in Awolowo’s western region

Even lagos Island was handed back to Awolowo as part of the western region at Independence

the western region allowed the National Government to Continue using lagos Island as the Capital only

out of Consideration for the National Interest

You are a pathological liar!!! Akwa Ibom,Rivers and Delta contribute much more to the national purse yet they don't make 5% of the noise Yorubas make about Lagos.

Income from oil accounted for 80% of Nigeria's revenue!!!! A whopping 80!!! I can't believe an adult with a functioning brain is comparing oil revenues to that from VAT,!!! Gosh!!

An Ondo indigene is never a Lagos indigene. There's no law that would favour and Ondo man in Lagos that would not equally favour a man like me from Delta.

Any law that contravenes the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria remains invalid
