How can they stay 4 days at home out of 7 days. This is disaster in waiting Mr governor.

They spent 7 out of 7 during covid. There is about 4.5 hours of actual learning in the school day. Simply spread the 9 hours over the 3 days. Nothing lost

Same thing I said earlier when Edo and Kwara states govts first announced this nonsense. Reduced productivity, reduced spendings, reduced active time for many people.

This Subsidy removal will bring poverty, job loss, unemployment, and high cost of living
These govs are economic illiterates. Their reactions to subsidy removal is more of negative reactions than positive.

I honestly don't think this is a wise move though. Very bad decision. How do you make a child idle for four days in a week.

They should have thought this through and come up with a better way of reducing the impact of fuel subsidy on these children and teachers.

I disagree with this. Edo will soon be dragging bottom position with Northern states in low/poor quality of education.

It's a good arrangement for the teachers but the kids? Nahhh

It would definitely cause information overload for the poor kids
It is a good move...children should use the remaining 2days to go for vocational training. Enough of all time cognitive learning that amount to nothing and they end up roaming the street without work. This should be applicable to all states.

So, although the formal conventional school environment is opened 3 times a week, teaching and learning is still 5 days a week

Everyone's talking about the students, forgetting their teachers will have a huge financial burden transporting 5days a week.

Some students would have to shuttle down to school as well! Everything doable must be done

Come and see the crowd of pupils that can't afford 400 naira per fare trekking long distances just to go to school..

These are severe trying times for Nigerians .. I'm sure this move won't last as the governor would surely work sth out fast

which teachers please, obaseki reduced the state teaching work force by over 50 percent, go to army day secondary school, ramat park. no chairs no teachers, the people of ikpobal barracks, iwogban and new estate emply and pay teachers, this is a govt school at the heart of benin, so wherever you are in benin you can go and verify by yourself, in this onece upon a time great school, kids bring their chairs to school while some sit on the floor. this is just one of many, how about new era college that he closed the new buildings for no reason? should we talk about uhunmora secondary school?
