These people seem fascinated by anyone with a pseudo accent.

This one na grammar she sabi. Not a real energy expert.
Same people who thought a banker could be minister of finance,

What you should look for in appointing minister is policy formation and implementation roles there key

Working is shell or total for 60 years in inferior to someone with 10 years energy policy formulation experience as far as ministerial position in energy and power is concerned

Ms. Olubukola Arowolo Verheijen is the Managing Director at Latimer Energy and an energy expert with nearly two decades of transactional, project development, investment and policy experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors. She also currently serves as an Advisory Council Member of the US Millennium Challenge Corporation and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Energy for Growth Hub. She is also the Founder of BFA Foundation, which funds scholarships for women and other disadvantaged groups to expand their career advancement opportunities in high-growth sectors, including the energy sector. She has also provided support to the Nigerian government on formulating policies and reforms that promote investment in gas infrastructure for domestic markets and was Shell’s finance lead on the negotiations for Nigeria’s first World Bank Partial Risk (PRG) Guarantee to improve bankability of gas supply to state-owned power plants. She writes and speaks regularly on issues relating to the intersection of the energy sector, and
sustainable economic development in Africa.

Ms. Verheijen holds a BA (Magna Cum Laude) from Long Island University and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

Tinubu and technocrats are like 5 & 6. He hires the best hands for the jobs. I remember the days when he was Lagos State Governor, the leaders of the Ministry of Transport and LAMATA were headhunted from Transport for London and the UK Dept of Highways.

There are technocrats everywhere in Nigeria especially in the south! Nothing spectacular here!

She seems to be just what the doctor ordered in respect of the power sector.

Your second paragraph is also what I observed about him. He wants to be greater than Awolowo but he will never be.

Even Jakande is better than him. His obsession for acquiring wealth in order to buy followers is his undoing meanwhile Awolowo didn't use money to acquire followers.

Jakande and Awolowo are my revered and great grand fathers. Love them both but Tinubu is my role model as far as the consideration of prosecuting success in life.

He always accept the mantra "when in Rome behave like a Roman".

Many failed to move Nigeria forward because they simply did not have Tinubu's pragmatic and bullish intellect, that get's things done, even if they may be conventionally more intelligent than him.

Gani Fawehinmi, Tai Solarin, Wole Soyinka are a few names out of many who simply never wanted to accept the principle of never giving a man a load he cannot carry.

Tinubu has never had that obvious but very common limitation that prevents the most brilliant men and women in society from making their humantarian mark as they have the brilliance to do.

I might even write a book about BAT soon. A man I love for how he has never taken a knife to a gunfight.
