Jagaban2012: You should have rather told Buhari to substitute her with a northerner if he could get someone close to her level. But that was impossible, they don't have the brains so he had no choice but to support Ngozi. That's how they used nepotism and quota system to select a northern Judge for the job at international criminal court and during the interview process the other judges were so disappointed he scored 5 out of 110. Thee ICC said Bello lacked knowledge of the workings of the court. 1 Like |

hush15: How can can we achieve the needed amenities without wooing entrepreneurs and capital investor to boast the economy? PBAT is working and assuring to give incentive in tax to the investors. Let's just be optimistic about the policies of PBAT |

The government of PBAT should go all out to poach Akinwumi from AfDB. It's open season and we need all the best hands on deck. |

Sometimes those who have degrees in Agriculture Economics are underrated, thinking they can't run or head CBN. Nigerians are like the Chinese of Africa but beyond travelling to prosper in many countries of the world, we want resemblance in industrial revolution even if we start with imitation of quality industrial products..... Utilizing appropriately the agricultural foodchain with proper security will make Nigeria self sufficient in many ways and where we have tried but not enough capacity in that endeavor, comparative advantage comes in with others especially other African countries, a WIN- WIN situation for all.... With enough ground work for this entrepreneurial bank, there are some things we will have alternatives for just as we do for many items in Nigeria which will even come cheaper including food eg bread, rice varieties. People can also be grouped to take loans to operate, this may work better instead of one individual who may feel it is a personal gift. Nigerians in diaspora can make up the number for foreign investors only if there is a conducive environment. Anything to make Nigeria better. |

So how will this have effect on our economy, there are lots of banks in Nigeria, instead of you people to work on how to get the naira back to fit |

Jagaban2012:all this insensitive comments, has tinubu reached out to her for assistance and she rejected? Is it her duty to now be lobbying the govt to provide support, should it not be the govt meeting stakeholders for collaboration, is her office a charitable organization? So in your mind showing support for tinubu is all about posting pictures on Twitter, it shows you guys are not ready for governance, just propaganda politics. |

mixta14:tinubu's supporters are some of the most insensitive and mannerless people in Nigeria, so how do you expect her to support tinubu by posting pic of tinubu on Twitter? Is that what you mean by support, or is it her duty to create policy for tinubu? So what do you know that makes you think she does not want tinubu to succeed ? because of picture? If tinubu want her help, has tinubu reached out to her? Or is it her job to now be running after tinubu? SMH |

FreeStuffsNG: Abegi, the DULL-ARD OF DAURA did not “put” anyone in the AfDB… Akinwumi Adesina was elected AfDB President in May 2015 BEFORE Buhari assumed office. Meanwhile, YOU seem to be struggling to differentiate between a bank and a trade REGULATORY organization… But suffice to note that Okonjo-Iweala, as director of GAVI, has brought millions in vaccines and health projects to Nigeria! > |

Jagaban2012: Some Nigerians and their rent-seeking culture… Dude, the WTO is a trade REGULATORY body… There is NO “booty” to be shared or ‘brought home’ therefrom. Nonetheless, as director of GAVI… Okonjo-Iweala has brought millions in vaccines and health project financing to Nigeria! > |
Re: Akinwumi Adesina: We’ll Support Tinubu, Afdb To Open New Bank In Nigeria by 9jaRealist: 3:45pm On Jun 26, 2023 |
sharone21: Agricultural economists usually cannot… Because the CBN deals with MONETARY policy, not the fiscal policies (including agricultural financing) that Emefiele pursued. As for people being “grouped to take loans to operate”… We already have that in Nigeria - they’re known as COOPERATIVE SOCIETIES, and there are about 300K with over 30m members. > |

Corporate2020: Chicago State University is a primarily black (primarily neighborhood) institution, not in the Top 1000… That’s probably why Tinubu initially sought to lie that he attended University of Chicago, a Top 20-25 college. >

I have a question: since Ngozi Iweala took office at the world bank what has Nigeria or Africa benefit from the bitter/hateful Igbo bigot? |
