1 fucking day. My 1st car was manual. I drove 10km on gear1 n burn top casket. D car over heat sotey I pity am.

I learned to drive in a week (manual gearbox stick). I was on Jss3 holiday. Driving is 90% psychological and 10% practice

This thread reminds me of back when I was a teenager... Around 17...i had these two female friends I met at a jamb lesson... They were like 2 years younger, but became my friend cos of my younger cousin that was around their age. After my cousin left my house, they remained my friends.

My experience, driving in express is easier and safer than City driving

Just two days. But I used my own car to learn.Nothing like tag. I manage jammed one ugly taxi with no backlight at all. It cost me 2500 to repairhis car. Since then no more story God helping me. It's over 12yrs ago we still de cruise de go.

Nobody taught me how to drive

For me I think it only took one lesson on the street to learn to drive.

My friend owns a car and he drives us to work. I always sit in front with him everyday and I watch him drive.

When it was time for me to buy my own car, before it arrived I was nervous so first thing I did was to go on YouTube to learn how to drive, HelpfulDY channel was really helpful, I watched a lot of videos and also video of a young boy and her siblings that took their parent's car on the high way for the first time, it boosted my moral, next I went on play store and download Dr. Driving game (as seen in the picture)... Mehnnn that game really helped me ooooo.

When my car arrived, I begged my friend to put me through and he just showed me how to move front and backwards (I was already used to it in the game) it took 30mins and he went back home but I stayed on the road for more than 5hrs practicing, on the empty road because it was on a Sunday. I practice even parking and reversing and when I was satisfied, I drove home.


I bought the car for hire purchase so I gave it to my driver to continue and I pleaded with my friend to allow me his keys to practice. So in the money while he is sleeping I will take his car, wash it and after that I will practice round with it, I did that for 2wks and on two occasions went to highway.

One month after my driver wanted to run with my car because he wasn't picking my calls and wasn't delivering, I have a tracker installed so I turned off the ignition and took bolt with a friend to where he was at lakowe, collected my keys and for the first time I drove for long, all the way from lakowe to Okoko. Then the next day I drove from Okoko to sango ota to see a friend..... Since then it's been history

I would say four days! But I can actually say four hours.

The first day I used one hour lesson to learn how to start , stop and change gears depending on speed (it was a manual car)

The second day I used less than an hour to learn how to start and stop on a steep hill - by balancing the clutch with the accelerator and breaks ( remember it was a manual car, for those m of you who learnt with or who only know automatic cars.

The third day I used another hour or less to learn how to reverse on a straight road and into bends on my right and on my left.

The fourth day, I took the car keys and went on the road all by myself to gain my confidence , and I have been driving ever since.

I think one can learn how to drive in a day. Just break it down into four lessons of one hour each- with breaks in between.

The real learning is when you actually get on the road with other road users - including pedestrians.

I never used a Learners sign but it is advisable that learners do.
