The lady that processed my papa's c of o about 30 years ago at asaba was a Yoruba woman, Mrs shittu. If I remember right, she was a director in the lands over there. I liased with her. She and her husband lived in their built residence in asaba.
I did nysc in abia state in the mid 90s, where I hung out was also in a yoruba man's house in imo state. I ate my regular "medicine" ie amala, gbegiri and ewedu there at, joint owned by Yoruba woman fully resident there, as I was not used (then) to yellow garri.
Alot of coppers before me and after my stay, remained there and married fresh yellow Ibo chicks
That is the cultural integration that will move this country forward.
