If this news is true and not fake news then the authorities have been informed, one of the officers made it alive with injuries and the police authorities will take it up from there. In things like this, if you know how the govt acts, you will know that those who killed those officers are in trouble with the police.

That's why most armed robbers don't like killing their victims and police officers because the government will eventually catch them.

Believe me, it will not take time before non state actors completely overwhelms the country's armed forces. It has happened to more powerful countries. Nigeria's own is not a matter of "if" but "when"

Asaba have a big population of Igbo speakers.

Asaba is a fine place and the state-capital (while the other parts of Delta except Warri are underdeveloped despite oil)...

'Communal clash' is very common in Delta and doesn't make the news. They are just too much tribes in that small state, within those tribes are clans and sometimes there is problem/conflict amongst brothers. Any outsider that come and drag land there should be heavily armed or they are playing with death (absolutely).
