Sanctions better than war

Landlocked country dey make mouth against Nigeria

Na why I pity southeast Nigeria

If Nigeria split today, southeast is the only region that cannot stand alone. They will be landlocked and Nigeria will finish them with sanctions

Na wah. This is not a good route we are going.
Question to be asked, do we give them the electricity for free? If no, that means they pay. So who is bearing the loss of that income?
By cutting off electricity, who are we punishing? Certainly not the coupist, because they have supply in government houses.

This is almost exactly what happened in Niger... in fact currently, the people of Niger are very happy to be under military rule.

🇳🇪 Niger has Uranium.

A Nuclear power plant will be built by 🇷🇺 Russia in exchange for their natural resources. Problem solved
Possible but they will have to manage with candles for the next 6 or more years pending when the Nuclear power plant will be functional.

Nigeria should beware of Russia and be careful of West. Cold war of 1950 till 1990 is one of the reason Africa is still lagging behind. Eastern and Western blocks used us to play game with coup and countercoup.

Yoruba has everything it takes to stand alone

We have Lagos the 4th largest economy in Africa, Lagos economy alone is bigger than many African countries

Ondo is among the oil producing states in Nigeria. Output from Ondo alone is bigger than southeast

Lagos has natural Gas that hasn’t even started being explored

In fact, everything happens in southwest, education, entertainment, commerce, trade, import and export etc

What do you have to stand alone. Do you know how disadvantaged being landlocked is? Do you know that’s why you people always attach to south south to fight for Biafra because your leaders know you can never ever stand alone

I sincerely hope this will make Niger to look inward to start generating their own electricity. China and Russia are there to provide them with the necessary infrastructure. Nigeria should stop behaving like the collective west.

One of the reasons nigeria supplies some of these countries electricity is because if they dam river Niger, we wouldn't have electricity. So it's kind of foolish on Tinubus part to cut off electricity supply to Niger

You guys don't know what you're asking for. You obviously don't know what you're saying or doing. The people of Niger Republic are happy with the coup. The country is supposed to be the a very rich country but France and the US have been raping the country for eons. All the insurgency and terrorism in West Africa were orchestrated by the West so that the countries will be bogged down by insecurity while they have a field day stealing minerals. Or do you think these bastards want to ever pay for anything? Tinubu is making a mistake with his actions.
Re: Nigeria Commences Sanctions Against Niger, Cuts Off Electricity Supply by SeriouslySense(m): 4:55pm On Aug 02, 2023
Yes, and if it should happen, the west will use charity to come in, and implement their goals.

Nigeria is also simulated to predict its future.

They just need the Uranium in Niger, the terrorists were used by the west to fight their wars in Libya, and after the war, the terrorists became anti-western and they began to attack in Niger also.

As a Military Colonel or General, If you want to rule, simply resign join Politics and contest

You can't bully people to lead them as dictator.. that is long gone and unacceptable

* To the people confused on why we provide electricity to neighboring countries*

Nigeria Generates its electricity through Dams , we Dam rivers like Niger and Benue that flows in from other countries

For the water flow to have enough force to turn our turbine in places like Kanji we needed to stop other countries from building their own dam with the river

General Abacha had to sign an agreement with the neighbors, that we provide electricity and they pay but they are not going to Dam the river

* Why is it our Business ?!

Hillary Clinton, Obama and Gaddafi started a war in Libya...

Illicit arms from Europe got into Libya

Boko Haram began buying cheap illicit arms

The insurgency has lasted for over 10 years

how many years would Niger Crisis and it's insurgency last if we don't act now?!

.

What makes you think Niger will not dam river Niger?

If nigeria thru Tinubu can renege on an agreement, what obligation does Niger have keeping to the terms of that agreement?

Same way "You can't bully people to lead them as dictator" is the same way you can't bully another country to do what you want.

Are the people of Niger complaining that they don't want military rule?

What has the history of Libya got to.do with the Niger situation?

Which insurgency is in Niger?

The enemies of democracy who claim their mandate was stolen, but craved military rule as the alternative to their own candidate winning, would soon come here to tell us how Mali or Burkina-Faso will fight Nigeria for Niger Republic.

Those sanctions when applied altogether would cripple Niger within 2months.

Do you think that the seat of power lacks any supplies? If countries sanction Nigeria, Aso rock and government houses will suffer?

If you like cripple the whole of Niger for 10 years, the leaders will continue to enjoy while their people suffer. Food will be weaponized like politicians do it in Nigeria.

You can take a cue from North Korea. Zimbabwe was sanctioned for many years and inflation skyrocketed to millions of percentage points yet they stuck to their leaders

What if they build a Dam on River Niger? The will be no surficient water to power Kanji Dam, electricity generation.
Nigeria power sector is still too fragile to play this type of games. Aside, only the poor will surfer more.
They may also retaliate by cutting off all Cooperations in the fight against Boko Haram in the North East
I hope Nigeria won't support war as it will bring distabilization to the whole region.

We'll stand alone.
