maasoap: A country that imports 70-80% of all the things consumed in it, a country with no working oil refineries, should the people have any right to complain about high fuel price? Should the people have the effrontery to complain about weak Naira? The harsh reality is that this is the true price of fuel for a nation like 9ja that refuses to do the right thing! 1 Like |

I actually expected the president to remove half that is is there was any effective palliative measures on ground and then slowly remove it completely later after blocking the acclaimed loopholes. The hardship is really telling on the poor masses...He should also look into the agriculture sector seriously..provide enough securities for the farmers so that there will be food at affordable prices. Yes, he's the current ECOWAS chairman, fine ,but he should give his most attention to the Nigerian current economy. Too bad. Imagine, Dollar is almost 1k. Haba! I actually hoped the president will do better but am not comfortable with the current situation in Nigeria. I pray Almighty God will see him through. 3 Likes |

festacman:Oga all the farmers they give easy access to cash, grain and machinery what did they do with it? You think the CBN just open vault and was taking in all commers? you think the Ministry of agriculture was not involved or the farmers association was not called? They were given help and most did nothing with while others converted the money to dollar to speculate against their own country.....sure there were some that were just let in, but those that were legitimate what happened? What's their excuse cause CBN never got 1 naira back...... |

Taylor90:I can bet it that if your father is the president of this nation, Nigerians would have stoned him to death by now. You are calling an elderly man werey. That means you have no regards for your father at home.u are listening to fake news and u are judging like that. Tell me, who is now a mad man between you and the president? Besides, buharj removed subsidy and not tinubu. The country is in a mess before he took over. Who stole obi mandate? Who told you obi won the election? I don't blame you. 2 Likes |

leokid866:thank you my brother. Many people in this country are just saying what they don't know. Buhari removed petrol subsidy and he did not make provisions in the budget. He only made provisions for petrol subsidy till june. Tinubu only said it out for Nigerians to know. The country is running on the budget provisions buhari made. Tinubu can only make additional provisions on the budget and that is what he has been trying to do. 2 Likes |

festacman:The painful thing about this whole back and forth is that the average Nigerian hast leant anything from the error up until this moment. CBN is 1% responsible for Naira value. You and I as ordinary working class citizens are another 1% responsible. The fg is 98% responsible because naira strength is a reflection of economy and economy is centered around production of needs, affected by volume of imported needs versus locally produced needs and exported excesses. Security, power, conducive environment is generally lacking for that to come to reality. We are just sharing oil money and leaking it outside via importations and looting. |

With this Bola virus administration all succur or cushioning are just mere ideas being considered. After the hardships were imposed immediately with no time to consider or debate. Presently the virus is considering: N8000 monthly payments to the poorest since June N100,000 minimum wage since june Boosting agriculture to increase food since June Now today we learn he is considering temporary reduction of fuel price. Well I am considering he is just bullshiiting! |

NaughtyBrainiac: Give me example? You only take back a stupid decision. If you have to make a decision and takes it back, then it was a very stupid decision in the first place Like I said, it’s like a contractor building a house and keep demolishing the house or some part of the house just to amend it. first, you need to think and map out your plan very well before you start building. This making policy and taking it back show he was never ready for the job. At some point, nobody will trust him or any of his policies, because he can always take them back. Nobody trusts a man whose yes can mean no tomorrow. |
