He still has more pedigree than Siasia.

He qualified Mali to the nations cup
Qualified unknown Togo to the nations cup and worldcup

I think Keshi is a good interim choice. He is a very accomplished player and coach that has even been appointed as coach to foreign countries. However, I believe that a foreign coach is what we really need since a foreign coach would be focused mainly on winning matches and not local sports politics. Also, sacking a failing foreign coach should not attract too much criticism since it would be easy to agree on why.

the same keshi who is the mastermind to the mafiaso that has killed the Super Eaglesabi you want to deny that?did he not get sacked by Mali
I would gladly take Amodu over Keshi anyday and FYI i wanted siasia to stay or just go for hiddink and replace the NFF with the vice presidents office

You must mean Naija coach coaching abroad se'

You dont mean another quack Oyibo?

If so then:

Should we also get a foreign President? We have already a foreign official language, foreign name of the country, foreign airlines that fly our peeps to and fro Naija, Pastors and Mallams imitating foreign preaching seen on CNN and Al Jazeera/

siasia had his chance and he messed up with it even the game itself, is a hand of chance. Let me tell you that coaching a national team, you don't need to teach them how to shoot a ball, control of the ball on and off the air etc during the short period of training that are usually available. A national team coach is expected to closely access the attributes of his players their level of fitness etc. He is to design a game play that will out-class any opponent with alternative options should in case his main plan(a) fails to deliver. Also, his job his expected to be round the clock monitoring of players that may be required to fit into his game plan. Hence, national team coach are generally referred to as Technical Adviser or Managers.
Siasia tenure may appear too short, but it may have been enough for him to prove what we all belived he can do. He is a Nigerian, a footballer at local and international level and a coach at national and local level. Furthermore, most of our present crops of players are all well known to him and with a freehand to choose and drop any players (a gesture that is rare to most of our former coaches from our nff). Therefore, i see no reason why he should fall. Westerholf started impressing us then with his selection and scouting for new players then with different individual skills(although many football analyst were against him then) and he still ahead to qualify us for nations cup and 2years latter another nations cup and world cup. How shall we now compare his approach to that of siasia now?
Let us just hope Keshi or Oliseh will be better if he is ready to correct some of the mistakes his predecessors made. Wish Nigeria the best.

No, Christian Chukwu was the coach then Stephen was his assistant.

correction noted but keshi was in the mix regardless.I would take amodu over keshi anyday, amodu's problem was his seeming love-in affair with some players most notably yakubu, how true it was,we might neve know but it was kinda of glaring to us all.
Frankly,i would want any coach but eguaveon, siasia is a good coach who brought entertainment and goals to the SE(stats dont lie) but he messed up when it mattered most and pls as much as i like mikel,he should just stay away from Naija teams in tow with Osas and fatkubu, penalty specialist
Re: Keshi Tipped To Replace Siasia by seunlayi(m): 11:36pm On Oct 31, 2011
you are right, but amodu is not in their favour now, it keshi and oliseh that they are eyeing. The Nff are actually the basics of our problem now, most of this coaches should have been queried rather than been sacked.

What flair pls? (fact), Amodu's SE scored and conceded less goals than Siasia' SE putting into consideration number of games.

count the 1st 5 games of Amodu and that of Siasia, then you'd agree with me, infact when Amodu just took over, the SE scored goals like water and conceded only one goal (own goal by Yobo)

amodu has a better record, no doubt.

i hope keishi will be able to totally change the face of the team. at least half of the team has to be booted out. from the strings of bad performances, i don't believe sacking/replacing coaches is the solution. we need players with commitment, team spirit and hunger for victory. don't see any of these qualities in most of our players.
