This is a good Man but this one below choked me. “We have seen government interventions through palliatives before, but the impact is always minimal. Random, unorganised palliatives rarely help the situation,” |

The only people that would see this as a boon are the Yoruba people and the northerners. Only a poverty wretched Individual would think a bag of rice would be the solution of their problem 2 Likes 1 Share |

nairalanda1 pls come and see the benefit of fuel subsidy removal. Sharing 100,000 bags of rice for a whole state. Will the rice last forever? Removal of fuel subsisdy has really improved living standards across nigeria. By the way, is palliatives not subsisdy? 2 Likes |

100,000 bags of Rice to be given to over 5million people in Akwa Ibom State. What a stupid idea. Why not use the palliative money wisely, by putting it into planting cassava and other food crops. Harvest it within the next 6 months, this could help bring down the cost of food items. I don't know why government do not always know what to do. Gifting out food items to the citizens is the foolish thing to do. But working out modalities to bring down cost of food items to be affordable to the poor is a Wise Course to take. |
