mrvitalis: The 390K for South East are Igbos living in Igbo land, the ones that dropped out of Primary School and jumped into Mallam Nasiru's trailer carrying Cows from Yobe through Igboland to Lagos to come and sell Gala and La Casera inside Lagos hold-ups and sleep under Lagos bridges are counted as part of South West. So do your calculations well. |

South easterners with their chest beating nonsense, you are getting proud and making noise for having the least out of school children, the list is merely base on regional out of school and not by tribe, Lagos population alone is higher than the entire South East, before you beat ur chest, first asked urself how person's are in south east, some times those who constitutes out of school children in south west or south south or maybe northern regional can be proportionally people from the south East... |

EmekaA125: How is Peter Obi a man of sane and vigour mind? What did he contribute to anambra when he was a governor? The 1.19m number of out-of-school children in the south west is no doubt a combination of all the non-yoruba population in land of which igbos are majority. |

There is no illiterate Hausa. All of them are literate in Ajami and have been so for over five centuries. The challenge they have is to transform into modern times and to modern literacy. Then the figure in percentage for SW and SE is equal because SW is close to three times of SE in population. If you check WAEC enrolment you will notice that Hausa girls don't sit for waec as much as boys while Igbo boys don't sit for waec as much as girls but the number for Yoruba is balanced. High school should be mandatory abd anyone that passed o level must be able to access university education by being granted scholarship by any means. Even those that did not pass should try and continue education one way or the other but education up to high school should be mandatory and no one that passed o level should be left behind |

Re: Statistics Of Out Of School Children Per Regions In Nigeria by BabaAduras: 5:18pm On Sep 18, 2023 |
Nonny95: This numbers are statistically highly deceptive. What really count is the percent of the population that is out of school. 100 out 10,000 (1%) out of school is worse than 500 out 100,000 (0.5%). Give us the percentage per population of each region. 1 Like |
