Well I wouldn't say love before marriage here in the far north is forbidden but it's with utmost care n observation from the elders because anything that can lead to illicit relationship is better curtailed early even before it starts. Most girls here marry as pristine virgins, so to maintain this tradition, the girls are married out early as young as 9 or even in rare cases as young as 7 or 8. Much value isn't placed on western education as far as girls are concerned but their husbands may chose to educate their wives to any length they wish. However, they the husbands are at some risk of losing their wives to infidelity if they lose track
